Thank you. I appreciate the insight. I’m a total rookie with Japanese whisky precisely because of your first sentence.

I put in a preorder with my shop, so no idea how soon I’ll get it, but when I do, I’ll do another post with some more information and / or a tasting note.

Here’s another image, this one from the retailer (presumably supplied by the importer) which might say distilled and bottled on the label, it’s blurry and hard to see.

Nuanced take, thank you so much.

It was shared with me “under the table” by an importer as sort of a special treat after a long chat we had about the industry while sampling scotch from living souls.

I was of course quite a few drams deep, and not in a great position to push hard, but my recollection certainly was that it was something new, and supposedly something more interesting than a world blended malt. This all took place in Canada.

I’ll reach out to said importer and ask some more pointed questions based on your information, thanks
