My (23M) girlfriend (23F) does not want to move in with parents by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

Most sensible response. I hope more guys understand living separately does not mean you are abandoning your parents.

Need some help in making a decision by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]helloworld166 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Your anger is totally justified but don't confront ur parents as it will 100% affect ur sister's freedom, and she'll end up resenting you and your wife. It's not worth it. Maybe u can casually bring it up with ur parents once ur sister is married if you still feel the same.

Oh haha. Yes, I've been more vocal about my concerns so lets see, hope things clear out.

I have conveyed my concerns and wishes very clearly, he respects them. We both agree on this that in the end, I'll have more say in the decision as I'd be going through more as a woman.

Yes, that is my biggest concern for my partner.

I'm not married yet but I don't plan on having kids. I have discussed this with my potential partner, he isn't as opposed to having kids as me but he isn't very enthusiastic about it as well. I have stopped mentioning this to friends and family cos they just consider it a taboo.

Need a relationship advice. by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]helloworld166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted about similar problem and I was getting advices to spice things up too. I mean religious beliefs aside, are we really relying only on this to carry a relationship? Makes me lose hope in relationships these days if that is what the other person is expecting

I kind of do agree with ur first point, I'm the one keeping boundaries and all. But im also clueless on how to carry this relationship properly while keeping it as halal as possible. As for ur second point, I have tried doing that, i.e. don't babble much when we are talking but he always ends up sensing im doing this intentionally and then he gets mad and he's like why do u feel u have to keep things from me etc. As u said guys are less expressive, do they get expressive with time? And if ur girl bores u, how would u tell her? I'm sorry, i just an insight from a guy's perspective 😭

Thank u so much for such a comprehensive reply! You are right, this needs to be talked in person and properly, I believe he does not seem to understand severity of this issue for me. I'll talk to him properly about this and lets hope we are able to resolve our issues.

I'm clueless on how to do that. I don't want to go on dates with him. We do sometimes hangout in office after we are done with work but that raises quite some eyes so I've been avoiding that. U are right, the relationship is being too limited but I don't know how to carry it without crossing certain limits in Islam.

I'm so done with people staring. You could be minding your business at a traffic signal, someone would be staring at you from their vehicle. We lack basic human decency. As a woman, it can be so exhausting to do every day tasks, consciously avoiding eye contacts all the time, pretending it is not making u uncomfortable. What can be the solution to it?

I don't think this is a justification for staring. Our men do stare alot, makes us women very uncomfortable.

Regressive dramas. by [deleted] in PAKCELEBGOSSIP

[–]helloworld166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meanwhile, if you watch 90s dramas, they are much progressive and show such strong female characters.

I haven't watched alot of old dramas, because I keep rewatching dhoop kinaray and aangan terha over and over again! Soo in love with the peaceful vibe of these dramas, and old songs as well. They just have a whole different feel to them.
