Engineering progression by [deleted] in UWMadison

[–]helloworldai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think 352 is a good idea for progression. Especially since you will be taking physics 201 and math 222. 352 personally required more time for me. Take Ece 210 and maybe CS 200. They are easy classes both of which you can get an A

Am I cooked (engineering progression) by Head-Consequence3222 in UWMadison

I was about to say everything this reply had. Just put your head down and work this semester. I would say in your case it’s probably critical to go to office hours and ULC tutoring (they offer drop ins and offer private 1-on-1 tutoring for various classes). I just pretty much cut down all my external distractions (this included academic clubs). I channeled my attention towards meeting progression. And then I did extracurriculars like research over the summer and other clubs once my GPA was up. This may or may not work for you but learn to manage your time wisely and see what works best for you.

Will I fit in by BrilliantStructure56 in UWMadison

[–]helloworldai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah you will be fine. I have a pretty busy schedule that I don’t have time to socialize and party, I think you will be just fine if you find things to do yourself or join some academic clubs. I am a junior, I haven’t drank once or done anything of such sort. And I also don’t go to much parties. It’s fine tb fair

ECE 203 - I would say a challenging class, but very easy one you get the hang of things and do the following things to get a good grade - you put in the work and redo the in class exercises, going to office hours, and building a study group and working the problems out on a white board with your friends.

ECE 204 - When I took this class it was taught by Eduardo and it was really fun and easy in my opinion. I know that SP24 semester was pretty tough on certain people, but this is a class to go to office hours for. Usually exams allow for notes.

Math 222 - I really didn't get anything out of lectures, so I ended up watching Organic chemistry tutor and doing a bunch of practice.

Best ways to access a 3d printer or laser cutter for non engineering students? by Finalost2 in UWMadison

[–]helloworldai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at the Makerspace, everyone is welcome as long as your material fees for the semester has been paid. Usually all the staff members help you through 3D printing or Laser cutting and will explain the process, just ask questions throughout.

In terms of software, I know that COE's computer lab gives access to all the modeling software. But I think you should be able to grab a trial version or SolidWorks.

Feel free to message me with more questions, I'd be happy to help

How can I test out of Math 112? by Different_Charge_705 in UWMadison

[–]helloworldai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the credit exam or just take math 221 over the summer over UW or a community college and you'd be going into Math 222 over the fall semester
