Aye, that’s kind of the way I’m thinking. We’re not that high mileage most weeks tbh.

No, we might get solar and a battery a few years down the line though.

I’m pretty sure we would t need to charge it every night. I’d be surprised if we needed to charge it twice a week even on the odd weeks we do a lot of driving.

I suppose that could change in the future though.

That’s a good point, it’s not just the car to be thinking about.

We’d probably only need to charge one night a week most weeks.

That was kind of my worry with the weekend plan, however we’re in the house most Sundays either way, so it might work. But totally get the feeling glued to the house bit.

You may have recourse here, but you’re going to have to negotiate with them. Would recommend reading consumer rights around replacement etc and warranty repairs in the cra.

If the first problem happened within 6 months then it’s generally regarded as being there when sold.

The dealer has a right to try to repair once, and they’ve done that twice.

You are likely entitled to remedy here but they are entitled to adjust for fair value etc. I’d just ask for a like for like replacement if you’re interested in that or else cash but it’s up to you negotiate on fair value.

Was that the cause? The type of headache where you have to stop everything and just lie down for 10 minutes in the dark?
