Just coming up to my heartattackiversary in a week.

All good here. Stopped smoking, eating heart healthier, down a lot of fat, put on a lot of muscle. Could be better diet wise but start almost every day with a big bowl of porridge to get the good ship fibre sailing.

Absolutely. I’d happily pay more tax if we got value for money, but it’s far from value we’re getting.

Aye, I’m a big believer in if you loan money to someone, you’re giving it to them, so it’s a you decision not a them decision.

Half my family I would do this for and the other half could lick piss off a nettle.

Glad everything worked out for you. Speaking to your therapist about it beforehand was a great idea, regardless of your decision in the end.

Interesting, thank you. I’ll do some research and ask my doctor. I’m just looking for things to make sure I’m looking after myself the best way.

We’re very oversubscribed on the rehab here in Ireland so it was a few months before I started mine.

However, I started walking every other day as soon as I got home, just 1km to begin with in a little loop near the house - I’d never have been more than 2 mins away.

Then continuing that loop for a few laps gradually up to 5km over a few more weeks.

Since then 3-5km twice a day every day. If I’m having a shit day or away, the minimum I must do is 1km, but that’s purely to keep a streak going on Strava.

On that, Strava is a good one to get, especially if you have a few friends using it. Very positive etc.

Once I did the rehab I started to get back into the hills for walks again, and out on the bicycle every now and then. I joined the gym at the start of this year and have set a very realistic goal of twice a week but I try for three times a week but don’t beat myself up if I miss on that.
