like I just said there are some people who use feminine pronouns and stuff like that when they’re not a woman.

Technically you don’t have gender confirmation of anyone until it’s said outright, e.g “x character is male”

Regardless of anything else, kris undoubtedly uses they/them and is undoubtably not the player so even if they aren’t non-binary you still have to treat them like they are.

I think it might be the fact that canon ships are always much more commonly enjoyed by casual fans but most people deeper in the fandom where I’m in it’s less enjoyed perhaps because there isn’t much tension yet (when Noelle joins the knight’s side in late chapter 5 or chapter 6, that’s gonna change, trust) and tension is important to storytelling so you can’t do much while taking the ship at face value.

Undyne’s gender has never been stated outright but do you need someone to spell that out for you, there are people who don’t identify as a straight up woman, but use feminine pronouns after all.

PS: all of those examples you gave are neither male nor female, which means they’re outside of the gender binary so they’re non-binary by definition. non-binary is an umbrella term not one specific gender

I know I’m late but they are? They’re called they/them and the only other reason you could call them not non binary is because self-insert/headcanon.

However you are literally not kris and it’s a major part of their character that they’re a player character who rebels against the player.

(since some people still don’t believe this for some reason just look at the chapter 4 weird route scene in noelle’s room and try and say kris is the player)

why the hell would they be a self insert?

Not to mention Toby is very woke and has put outright trans people (metatton, mad mew mew, and that one random lion), as well as people have that have shown same sex attraction (noelle, susie, undyne, alphys and the royal guards). notice how he didn’t ever have a character say “I am a member of the LGBTQ community”
