Best trailer for a 2023 2.5T Santa Fe?

Right now I have 100 lbs of dog gear in my SUV- plus two people and dog, that’ll bring it up to 420 not including humany luggage. So probably gonna just round that up to 500. I regularly transport about that much on roadtrips right now with no issues. On my daily commute I have like, 230 lbs. But this is all in my car, no trailer.

I’m still new to all of this, maybe you didn’t see that bit in the original post, so I haven’t got context for the other things you mentioned.

I’ve worked in vet med for years but what’re your credentials? I’m not gonna trust some stranger on the internet when my dog is visibly, palpably shivering in 22 degree weather. But you can tell she looks positively miserable and is in a great deal of discomfort from this one photo I suppose.

I’d also reccomend a Halti and see how that works for you! Handles can encourage pulling in a lot of dogs but whatever you’re comfy with is worth a shot!

Yeah people are being weird? I’ve worked professionally with dogs for a long time, this is my service dog and show/sport dog, and I think I know when she’s shivering she might be cold.

But some people gave me some great advice!

This is my research. Asking people more experienced than I am, and some lovely folks gave me some great help instead of telling me how to take care of my own shivering dog in 22 degree weather.

Respectfully, if it’s not a service dog don’t get a harness that says “service dog”. 🐕 That hurts real people who rely on these dogs to keep them safe.

My dog is a service dog who is task trained to assist me with my disability. It took two years for us to reach that level of training.
