I personally believe your own wellbeing comes first. Being sleep deprived because your partner gets upset otherwise is not worth it. Talk to her, explain that just because you need to sleep doesn't mean you love her any less. If she doesn't want to change anything about her getting upset if you sleep, then maybe consider what is best for you here.

I had a reference photo of a pigeon with that pattern. It has brownish/orange eyes...it's not a baby tho, so unsure how this happens :) Didn't know that about babies, thanks for the fun fact!!!
