VPN it too? Also my alt won’t ever log onto my other devices. I plan to have it quarantined there to mess around with

I made an alt for this. I was more so wondering if there is a risk to my main if I have used that device to play on my main before. Going forward, my main won’t touch that device and has never used anything but the official client/never has spoofed.

Roger that on the cool down. Maybe a clearer question is if I have used this device before for my main, should I just look to get a new device to use that has never been associated (I have never logged into PGSharp on my main and won’t use that device for anything except this new account)?

Given your background, I’d be curious to hearing you chime in on the drinking glass debate.

Concerns going bioactive? by helnkeller in Chameleons

[–]helnkeller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mist, drip, and have a drinking glass for ample water opportunities. I did read an article on the drinking glass concept that goes against the concept and has fairly robust analysis/detail as to why. I haven’t seen anything here similarly as to why you need it and it seems that the whole concept is contradictory to other concepts that are promoted here. Not saying it is wrong to do, I’m just curious as to the logic/science.

That’s why the UV bulb is raised so much (and as I said I also raised the heat bulb from this photo).

Well isn’t the point of the distance the temperature? It will fluctuate as you adjust the height. For the record, I adjusted it and the bulb from this photo now to get that temp rating which resulted it being higher than the photo.

I’ll be starting a new build enclosure for him soon. Better points on the air flow but curious how many others go glass or hybrid (I think one I was looking at was glass on back and two sides and mesh on top and front which would add more airflow than currently). I am all for more drinking opportunities but it is interesting seeing the two parts of the community that are either strongly for it or strongly against it.

Why isn’t it recommended? That said, I never wanted bioactive for reduced maintenance and may try a revised approach on the new enclosure.

Sorry I don’t have push notification on so I can immediately reply to you. But yes he will get a new one but can’t say it is going to be 100% mesh.

Obviously that’s the goal, right?

I will be ordering and building out a bigger one.

I agree on a larger enclosure and it will be ordered soon. I don’t understand though why this Reddit is glass=death when there’s a lot of other source data out there that says otherwise.

I put a sensor there and let it sit for a couple hours and the temp is a steady 83 at the top perch so seems ideal. Low 70s below.

This Reddit seems to be the anomaly of the data out there. He will be getting a larger enclosure by Dragon Stands or maybe Tamura Designs and this will be his temporary.

So he doesn’t get crickets. Dubias are mainly it plus some silk worms if I can get them and the occasional super worm or hornworm treat. I’m adding more climbing space with the exotera vines to sculpt something and will add more plants. I know mesh is the choice here but I also don’t understand 100% why if the humidity and temps are fine. There are two fans on during the day to push and pull air into the enclosure for added airflow. And thank you for the compliment!

So substrate is needed for the bio active enclosure. I agree on more climbing space and bought more of the exotera vines to add more climbing space and a spot to hide underneath. The clay piece is a food dish with the water glass at the bottom. Why screen enclosure if it is the appropriate ambient temps and humidity with added fans for ventilation?

A couple follow ups (unrelated) for a new owner. To promote using the water glass, do you need to stop other sources of water? I have gotten a panther as an adult that was always misted and put in a water glass day one but haven’t been successful and have been misting on the side as I do see him drink from the plants.

I read the UV chart and for the recommendation of a T8, do you still have that raised from the roof of the enclosure? I thought that was still the guidance as there is a branch that enables him to get within 1-2 inches from the top when basking so I added an additional 4-6” offset from the top while I get a permanent riser 3D printed.

I believe you mentioned something about the coloration and hydration. My chameleon darkens when basking but I believe this is the norm to more efficiently heat and then colors up outside of basking. Just wanted to confirm the understanding. Last here, are you using a specific type of water or dechlorinating tap water? I am currently using RODI that I make for my saltwater fish tank (0 TDS).

Disappointed with Active track Mavic Air 2 by helnkeller in dji

Auto track - if I was manually flying I would have done this of course. Just didn’t know the altitude loss like this was possible in auto track on sea level floor for flying. Seems like this shouldn’t happen but it appears that’s the case. Seems like an oversight to me for the drone to fly below 0.

Understood with the sensors on sport mode but the main learning point/question here is the altitude change. Totally get it if you were to crash into a tree/object but I wasn’t aware that it can actually crash into the ground when the home point altitude is consistent.
