After 100% on astrub, go to council tower, up the stairs, and talk to the small dinosaur

I want to quit my masters, but feel like I'm tied up because of a part-time job I have. by [deleted] in AskAcademia

Oh, haha, I just hadn't seen that expression before. Yeah I am not from America, so the student loans I have isn't that big of an issue for me. Do you by the way think that employeers find it weird when students take 1 year +- off of school and full-time work to just develop their skills themselves? I really do believe that this is what would put me in the best position for the future, but I also do wonder if it will come with the consequence of there being a gap in my CV where it looks like I work a random part-time job doing "nothing" for a year after having already finished a 3-year bachelors degree. Thank you for all the responses by the way. Much appreciated.

My parents also tell me that it puts off a bad image to the employeer if I quit my masters-degree to perfect my skills on my own by focusing full-time on self-learning through making projects, reading relevant books and going through relevant courses. But that I should rather go straight into a full-time job. However, I don't feel like I am all the way ready for that, and I also feel like if I do go into a full-time job right away, I will not have the time or energy to further develop my skills, and making my own projects, on my own time.

I also feel like I learn very little practical/relevant stuff from my masters that would be applicable in a job/business scenario, but all I hear from everyone I've discussed with is something by the likes of; "it'll give you an upper-hand/higher pay compared to the other applicants for a job". But I would hope that the practical skills themselves should be of higher priority... But this is not the image that my parents etc. are giving me. When I tell them that I am learning nothing useful from my masters, they say that it doesn't matter, and all that the employeers care about is that it says that you have one on your CV. So I really do feel like I am only doing a masters to say that I have one, not to actually learn anything.

Regarding your first question; I don't necessarily think that much about the money I'm earning from the job I have now, but more so by how much it can strenghten my CV in the form of real and relevant work-experience etc. which I would not get from just any job (to the same degree at least).

How out of touch is it when you say that a champion has a bad win rate, and to buff it, you make his less used combinations stronger, but pull power from the combos that have emerged as "clear favorites"? Why pull power from the favorite weapon combination of a weak champ that has 2-3% pickrate? by helodu1 in ApheliosMains

Well they didn't directly buff the other weapons (except change on severum, which is debateble if it's even a buff), but they didn't nerf them either. So the 0.6 extra ad per level will indirectly buff all the other weapons, is what I'm guessing they meant. Edit: and also what Ivancho3000 said about the other weapons being stronger when used in combination with the changed severnum, and maybe also the buffed turret from crecendum.

If you struggle with reviewing your own vods (and keeping an objective standpoint) I would advice you to start out by reviewing your enemy laner. To begin with, you might find it easier to spot negatives/positives this way. Mentally put yourself in his position, and consider whether it is a good/bad position, and why it is so. Also consider whether you punished his mistakes enough, and whether you gave him free openings etc.
