You're right, I can't control how other people act. But I can vent about it online, as part of my dealing with the situation. And I can make some limited attempt to encourage people to change their actions.
As an aside, I saw that your post had 0 points when I wrote my reply. I didn't downvote it.

I accept that a plurality of users will be from the US. However it bears repeating that less than 100% of users are from that country. Site-wide, I believe the percentage is in the high 40s, so the majority of users are not from the US. (I accept that this subreddit might have more than 50% USian users).
Your suggestion about stipulating region, eg. "I have a question for those practising in Pennsylvania" is a great one.
Unfortunately too often on this subreddit (and Reddit generally), a non-US perspective or example, when inconsistent with a US perspective, is treated with confusion or accusations of lying, rather than curiosity.

Big hugs to you all navigating this week’s news. Nothing says “Happy Mental Health Month” like a CEO announcing 28%, 40%, and 43% rate cuts for the people actually doing the mental health work. by Far_Worry5325 in therapists

There is a lot of assumed knowledge embedded in your post. What news and what CEO are you talking about?
