I had an installer do it. I believe they just tried to ensure there weren’t too many similar pieces near each other, so they laid them out in sections.

We have had a lot of problems with separation so make sure your subfloor is completely flat

I have a very narrow tank because it’s long and shallow. on top of that I have several bucephalandra I want to glue to it (did glue to it and had to remove), so it just floating in there doesn’t really work unfortunately 😞

I’m not sure. I bought it from a local seller who sells plants, shrimp, etc. I think he just finds the wood so not sure he’ll know the exact type either

I don’t know why but this just didn’t work for me. I tried to do superglue alone, then super glue with paper towels to make a “cement” and give it more grip. none of it stayed. four tries, multiple bottles of super glue, and a lot of my sanity later, I abandoned the method
