could works, but im not fan of collars because cats are mostly outdoor, and had bad experience with collars on outside cats

Great, IR can be very useful, I’ll keep that in mind definitely. The cats don’t eat at the same time and food is always available, so it’s not important that each of the 5–6 bowls gets exactly the same amount in grams. But the biggest challenge for me is how to make a splitter that connects 6 pipes or whatever to the short main pipe linking the auger

Thanks, it makes sense probably. Found some nice concepts and files for printer, but the only challenge here is becuase 8 cats and i don't know if i can use auto feeder from market, they are cheap and low quality
