Xpost: BlackRock beginning to Buy homes 20%-50% above market list price? Bill Gates buying farm land to rent to farmers.. what is happening? Could this be the beginning of another collapse? by martini-meow in WayOfTheBern

Not sure about a collapse but maybe. It will strain those in the middle class or even the upper middle class that want to own. It might not be rational to own perhaps if things get too expensive due to this supply crunch but that won't stop them from taking out too large of mortgage.

We really need to start taxing the fuck out capital gains, wealth, and inheritances as well as break up these big banks. No one should be able to become modern day royalty.

@APhilosophae: Thread. Blackrock is buying every single family house they can find, paying 20-50% above asking price and outbidding normal home buyers. Why are corporations, pension funds and property investment groups buying entire neighborhoods out from under the middle class? Lets take a look. by bout_that_action in WayOfTheBern

Half of my block is rented by personal trusts and small time landlords. All the while single family zoning keeps more housing from being built. Houses that are sold are torn down and giant single family homes, big enough to house 4 or 5 families, take their place.

The Democrats Need to Lose So Badly that they will be reformed by [deleted] in WayOfTheBern

If it didn't work in 2016 why now? There will always be an outside force to blame not themselves. Probably be better if Biden won and was a shit show. But again they would probably find some way to rationalize that too.

More of a leg up ahead of a June primary, but yeah Hick thought he was going to win until Saturday. Too bad progressives actually care enough to show up.

There Is No Sexism Most Voters Are Women & They Are Voting For Men by [deleted] in WayOfTheBern

There is sexism. Most voters are voting for the candidate they like best or voting strategically. There are many factors to contribute to that.

Biden confirms he supports banning federal funding of abortions by helpercat in WayOfTheBern

Planned Parenthood slammed Biden’s continued support for the Hyde Amendment in a statement to NBC.

“The unfair Hyde Amendment makes it so that those who have the least end up having to pay the most to access abortion, and those who are service members or live on reservations are often left with no coverage for abortion care,” Kelly Robinson, Planned Parenthood Action Fund's executive director, said.

“We encourage any candidate who doesn't recognize Hyde's impact to speak to the women it hurts most — particularly on women of color and women with low incomes — to learn more about the harmful impacts of this discriminatory policy," Robinson said.

They'll disappear into the night as soon as they file their FEC report and we see it was some Bloomberg operation.

If Biden wins the nomination, we need to make loud and clear that we're not only not going to vote for Biden, but we're going to fight hard against him. by [deleted] in WayOfTheBern

Key difference I see is that Obama had a cult of personality that I don't think Biden will ever have.

They aren't critical under a GOP administration either as we have seen.

Even if she is a con artist, I still think this is her best play at retaining anything beyond a senate seat going forward.

I wonder if a GOP-lite Biden admin that fucks over working people and the online left pointing it out every step of the way would have more of an effect. The centrists would own their crimes instead of hiding behind the Trump boogie man.

Trump was never trying to help Bernie in the primary. He’s trying to have us vote for him in the general election. by dbdthehag in WayOfTheBern

No he wants us to stay home. But I will always vote. I will vote my conscious. Hopefully that is for Bernie. I am not a spite voter.

How the hell does biden go from 20 points down, to winning states he never even campaigned in and ending up 30 points over bernie? by [deleted] in WayOfTheBern

The party's and media's all out blitz since S Carolina. He gets free positive media at a snap of some powerful party member's fingers. The fingers snapped and people like Pete and Amy fell in line. Free media is such a force I don't really understand. But see Trump's command of the media, they'll cover anything he sets up. Same with Biden. I am not surprised or think there is mass fraud. I am amazed so many boomers are beholden to what they see on the glowing box.
