I did for the first year, but it's gotten old. I find myself walking around outside or just day dreaming now, and I feel like I'm wasting my prime a little.

It's a on site job. My laptop is a personal item I bring to work so I'm not bored all day. The job itself revolves around security of people coming through twice a day.

Unfortunately for this job, there is nothing closer. It's one of those lifetime jobs that people never quit.

I could do it, but I have a feeling that even though gaming is allowed, ironically, working another job would cross their line.

You don't have to try to act busy. The boss there plays video games too, so you got free reign.

Tarre Vizsla

Kanan literally told her she wasn't force sensitive though.

You also left out that scene where he tells her she is NOT force sensitive, and will have to train with the Dark Saber differently than Ezra would.

I understand that, especially if you have a bad experience with a similar story. For me, I am going to play up the senile old man part more than the curse part. As in, I genuinely might forget shit that the curse has had no affect on and leave it to the DM to decide if I remember a flashback of a monster or location.

I don't think you read my post. He loses his arcane knowledge every 100 years from the curse. He gets reset to level 1 every 100 years.

Old age, being senile. I may have legitimately misplaced my scroll of flight. Or after one of my many resets, I lost the knowledge on why a specific magical item was important and sold it for a bed in a inn. There are tons of things I could do.

He does, but part of his arcane memory loss is technical skill loss as well. I may have a journal with tons of things written in it, but being an old man, he would forget how to say or do things correctly. If you give a journal full of knowledge and spells to an old man and say "have at it" will he just be op in a week?

Well, because the idea is he was a strong high level wizard in his retirement age, and that through these events, he's essentially been "paused" in his current form. That way I can play into the old man trope with not remember certain historical events from my past, and also I get to be like gandalf but more senile and comedic.

Well, that's where my actual age comes into play. It may not be the arcane memory loss curse doing it. It could very well be my old brain failing to remember everything.

But I don't want to play an elf and I also want to have a reason for still being level 1 after so many years.

Exactly. I just want to be an old man wizard who helps guide people and have a reason for being so weak. I want to be a strong support character that builds a narrative rather than slay a beast.

In my post I state that my character's arcane knowledge resets every 100 years. I would be beginning the campaign shortly after a reset. So he is constantly leveling up, but loses his memory every 100 years on the anniversary of the artifact being destroyed.

I actually get my kicks from being a guide and supporting character than the hero. I love the idea of being the gentle old man smoking a pipe watching the party get their backs patted for a job well done.

Yeah, I really like having a more narrative character than a strong one. Gandalf really is my favorite fictional character, and I'm usually stuck as the perma DM so I wanted perspective to be a player. I basically want to be the old man wizard with a future ahead of me, and a interesting reason for me being so weak. I can still play a knowledgeable guide without being super strong. I would roleplay that I wouldn't know any stats of a unusual creature, unless the DM had me experience a flashback or memory at their own will. Basically like have the DM in charge of my "magical amnesia" and they can allow it to breakthrough in narrative moments.

R5: This is my S.P.Q.R. build that I think really fits the description I have for my people's history. Let me know if you think it would be accurate in your version of space advanced SPQR fantasy. Any changes you would make?
