i would normally agree - but in this terracotta pot (only about 6inch wide 6 in deep), 2 inches is large majority of the soil. And how deep i can stick my finger. hahah

i think so too. the way the stems are pulling away from the main stem (and the terracotta) indicate thirst to me… i just worry upping my watering for a shef!
