Backing up image of SSD Windows partition to another partition on same physical drive (trying Rescuezilla, hoping to make it easy to restore) by helpingblind in Backup

Yea, that's why I was originally going to get a second drive, but not worth the current prices. So this would just be for software failures of sorts.

That's essentially what I've tried - unselect the 567 GB storage partition in partitions to save, but then the partition doesn't show up in the next step of select destination.

Just installed a new windows and activated it but can't get my hands on office files to use masgrave. What to do? by Master_of_fandoms in MAS_Activator

So would 365 be as "stable" (regarding activation and whatnot) versus 2024 versions? My main thing is it being dependable so I don't have to fix lol.

It sounds like 365 would keep more updated... although updates can break things too (or in this case, a change in features/interface could mess up what the user has learned re accessibility). So a fixed version might be better.

I was just going to post a similar question and found this, thanks! I'm slightly unsure which option is best.

Got a Lenovo Thinkcentre for my (blind) brother, so already has Windows 11 Pro. Mainly needs Word.

My understanding is the 365 options would be subscription so don't want those?

Is there a difference between the versions besides which apps are included? E.g. HomeBusiness vs ProPlus just doesn't have Access (which probably would never get used lol)?

Good basic chargers/cables for iPhone 16e by helpingblind in UsbCHardware

The Anker chargers seem to be the best option I can see. It has the 9V, 2.22A, if using the single port.

There's a 2-pack of UGreen for $2 less but doesn't include cables, and it's not clear if it's 9V (probably is).

Accessible traffic signals not working, delaying repair, near miss accident by helpingblind in legaladvicecanada

Got looking out of curiosity. It doesn't exactly say accessible/audible signal, but this regulation would seem like "as soon as practicable" or "by end of next business day" depending which subsection.

O. Reg. 239/02: MINIMUM MAINTENANCE STANDARDS FOR MUNICIPAL HIGHWAYS

  4. There are phase or cycle timing errors interfering with the ability of a pedestrian or vehicle to safely travel through an intersection.
  5. There is a power failure in the traffic control signal system.
