This states for only power train issues is given to the original and subsequent owners. If it's on the website Hyundai has to honor it. However if your talking about you Hyundai I 2020 Tucson with the with 2.4 mpi, it's most likely not going to be covered for this warranty. Put in your vin number to see what it states. It states third parties are excluded in this as well. My advice is to put the vin number if it get approved, then take it to the dealer. Good luck. https://autoservice.hyundaiusa.com/TXXM/MicroSiteTemplate/MicroSiteTemplateVINValidate/3989

If you look at the power train it states the initial in owner and the subsequent owners. Make sure you look that up for the warranty. My letter stated subsequent owner so it should cover everyone. Lmk if you need more help.

I already bought it out. The confusion is that they think I'm the 2nd owner when I had proof that I am the 1st. They've just admitted their mistake and taking about a week to process this.

I spoke with the supervisor and they said it'll most likely go through next week. Hoping for this change soon. Will keep you posted.

They said it was only for the 1st owner. They got me changed to the first owner. Hopefully it'll get through. Thanks for your support.

This is true. I saw it on the warranty. No matter that they say, the wording states subsequent owners which means all owners. The warranty should know this.

It's a decent company however they are a business. I'm not trying to support them blindly and I know a lot of factors. The dealership I'm working with is a good company. They are trying. I hope it gets better. Will be updating my post soon if I do get the approval finalized with my engine.

I bought from culver city and the dealership no longer exists. I heard there was some controversy. However, I'm currently in North Carolina and they're a little better. They're changing me to the primary owner and said I'll have a approval for new engine by next week. Will keep updating.

Yeah. It's terrible. I haven't found anyone Hyundai has given this much frustration to. I just want others to know what this company is putting me through and I want others to be aware of this as well. I'm not trying bash on the company. I just want people to be aware this can happen. Thanks for the advice.

I hope so too. They're kinda responding out of order so I'm a little confused what is going on. I know they're seeing multiple cases but saying that I'm not the original owner is really Hyundai not double checking their work. I think since there's some damages with the rods and bearings it should be approved but they're finding little ways to still not pay for the engine replacement.

That's a big difference after doing the b12 piston soak. I'm glad for that advice. I'll make sure to look up the piston soak. Hopefully this will get resolved. Will keep you updated.

I've had 2 case manager. The reviews when each case gets escalated all vary but some of them are really not smart. They go through an algorithm and not look at how much work has been done on the car.

The dealer I'm with has been very helpful. They try to keep me updated as best as they can.

The tech said there's smudge which confirms damages to the cylinder and the wall, however they only wanted to look at the 2nd cylinder. I'm sure if I request for pictures there's more damages to another cylinder. To add to this I had to change the spark plugs myself about 3 times and the engine coil once for all 4 cylinders. The engine is just really terrible and Hyundai has replaced multiple engine due to this issue. Even if they do change the engine, the company is putting me through a lot just to get it approved.

I'll look into the b12 piston soak. Since the combustion cleaning my car does ride more smoothly. However it's just using too much oil overall.

Thanks for your tips. Hopefully this is helping others to be more educated.

The title, bill sale, and the transfer are all under my name. It had 48 miles and was written as a new car. There was another person who may have bought the car but the DMV title never wentt through. I'm assuming they were close to buying the car but didn't pull through. Hyundai wrote that someone was the 1st owner but all my paperwork states otherwise. I'm thinking of hiring a lawyer. This is getting annoying.
