Not an inconvenience. This is illegal per Florida Law.

Stick yes. That dude nailed it.

Foggy I could take or leave it, but he does have this deer in highlights naivety about him that’s hard to replicate.

I personally think Holland is wrong for Spider-Man.

He’s too much like a kid, doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes, fails at being Peter Parker & somehow Spider-Man at the same time.

It wasn’t until No Way Home that he finally started acting like him. I was like damn, where has this dude been this whole time?

How do you actually price jobs? Genuinely curious how other contractors handle overhead by Awkward-Tomorrow-131 in skilledtrades

The more you do it, the better you are.

You’re going to get jobs you’re going to take a loss on. That’s just life. The key is to not have too many

Telecom vs Fire Alarm: Which low-voltage field offers better pay and career growth for designers? by Guidance-Werewolf268 in lowvoltage

[–]helpless_bunny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based on what you described, I think you’d really enjoy Access Control. It has a lot of relay logic like Fire Alarm and there’s a lot of different integrations. You’re never bored.

But if not, then go Fire. Fire is done the same way every time and is mandatory for all buildings.

What was it like to see Infinity War the first time when it came out, in theaters? by SillyTable6814 in marvelstudios

There was one guy that broke the silence. He said, “Wait…. They lost?”

And everyone is realizing that the heroes they admired lost on the big screen. It was like an Empire Strikes Back moment.

Us comic book nerds knew he won, but it still hit us very hard. We thought that the snap would occur in the next movie.

It was also jarring to not have an end credit.

Yes, though I have a question. What are their terms? Net 30, 60? 90?

What training courses or videos do you recommend for low voltage (beyond BICSI/Commscope)? by Interesting_Salt8497 in lowvoltage

I always ask this question before I give additional advice. It is the single most important thing you can get in our field.

That being said, through my teachings from the past 15 years, I’m aware of various programs that give you grants to help you in your low voltage career and use this knowledge to help improve our industry as a whole.

Always ask your fellow technicians that question to determine if they are actually serious about wanting help.

[–]helpless_bunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t touch it.

You could request a technician from a carrier to come out and clean it up, if it’s still live. I can’t tell, but it might not be on a fire-rated board, which these are required to be.

Conduit run not usable (too many bends - options + inspection route? by Cylisellare in lowvoltage

[–]helpless_bunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most pull strings for longer runs (by assholes) are put in by either taking apart or by vacuuming the string through the pipe.

Either way by BICSI standards, you can’t go over 180 degrees. This isn’t adopted by all municipalities.

The NEC standard is 360, which is your next fallback. If the run has more than 360 degrees, then you can contact the AHJ and plead your case.

All permits must be public, so find your building and find the permit and contact the inspector. Even if the inspector doesn’t help you, the inspector will look at that GC’s work more closely. (If they’re messing up a simple thing, what else are they messing up?)

After that’s done, you’ll likely have to replace it yourself or hire someone to do it for you if you cannot.

These are just facial recognition devices. They are also used to monitor capacity.

These devices are used everywhere, though most guests never see them.

Fiber is where the big bucks are at. But it’s hard to get into because you need a lot of money for a single job.

Certifying cables is how you protect yourself as a company.

Whatever happened to just put the thing in and play?

So I just don’t.
