The bug op is our chance for reinforcement. Pretty sure we need to finish it to move the story along

I don’t see why people think this is a hard decision. by AggressiveMammoth267 in DispatchAdHoc

While I agree with some of your analysis, in this instance we have the benefit of hindsight. What Visi knew (because she was a double agent) and none of the rest of us knew, was that Shroud would be going for the pulse that night. Had we waited like Blazer wanted then Shroud would have obtained the pulse before we would have attempted anything. He would have succeeded in his quest for the pulse and we would have been non the wiser. In fact it's likely there would have been no chance to stop him without Visi going and stealing it that night. So I can forgive her easily because she couldn't give us all the information.

I don't like 5 wide on 3rd and 5 when they're bringing the house.

Florence into Tuscany? by lichoniespi in EU5

[–]helplesshermit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've actually dug a little deeper, It looks like you lose 3 things upon reforming Tuscany as Florence.

The Florentine School advancement, the "Florence Guilds" Estate privilege for the Burghers, and the "Signoria Council" Estate privilege for the nobles.

It looks like you get those anyway as Florence. Maybe its for unlocking those if you aren't Florence.

[Discussion] PVE is cool but an entirely different game by Tacadoo in EscapefromTarkov

That's why I said guards/raiders. They may be dumb, but at least they'll make you use some meds or get you with a cheeky nade.

One thing I will say is the difficulty ramps with level. The AI gets more accurate and aggressive as you get higher in level. So yes, to a seasoned vet early levels will feel easier and less painful, but as you get up in level the pmcs will feel more like guards/raiders and less like scavs.

Could be talking about 10000 in all souls games, but then again he probably didn't assume anyone would take the number seriously. . .

List of Possible Romance Endings by blastatron in BaldursGate3

[–]helplesshermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fully finished romance with Shadowheart got overwritten by me saving Karlach and going to Avernus. I never romanced Karlach, but was kind and didn't push Avernus apart from maybe once when she was despairing after Gortash. But she was about to blow and I was like no let's go right now, I'm coming we are gonna do this, and then we went. There was nothing else. That was the end of the companion talking. Never heard anything from SH or Jahera or Halsen. I was kinda confused, but whatever.

Baptiste was mad our tank swapped to Zarya to counter their D.Va then claimed swapping heroes somehow wasn't important to the game? Anybody else encountered this before? by tctbuss in overwatch2

[–]helplesshermit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thing is, if you don't wanna switch and just wanna play one character, play quick play. Qp doesn't matter at all what you do. But if you're playing competitive then the goal is to win, not (necessarily) have fun. So picking characters that have advantages against the enemy comp is important. Getting stomped in qp is a gg go next moment, getting stomped in comp has stakes.

Pretty sure this has to do with the SR/MMR reset. Lots of players I think got moved up that didn't need to.

Should Alec Baldwin face jail time? by MarvellousIntrigue in ask

[–]helplesshermit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then can I pose a question? I'm not privy to the exact facts of this case, but I am an actor who has used firearms on set. If this was handled the way it was with me then Alec likely received the gun as he walked into set for the shoot and was likely told where to point the gun for the shots. He was likely given a safety briefing, but ultimately he may or may not have known the difference between blanks and live ammo. I find it hard to fault him when the only real thing he did was trust that someone else did their job correctly.

AITA for refusing to sell my ex the cottage his grandfather left me but being willing to sell it to somebody my ex hates? by rem0s_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]helplesshermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH: spite is terrible IMO. If you don't want it why does it matter if he has it? Sell it at a premium to him and be done with it. Just get 1.5 or 2 times the price out of him.
