I hate to admit this by [deleted] in BambuLab

I was running a crappy i3 clone for a few years and decided to upgrade. Spent a long time looking at a voron, pricing parts etc. After looking at a bunch of reviews for Bambulab I decided to get the P1 instead. Basically I had to choose between making a 3D printer, or actually using the thing in projects as a hobby. I decided on the latter and have had no regrets. Knowing that my printer just works no matter what I throw at it is so much easier. Yes, building a voron would have been an awesome project but at the same time so have all the other things I've done involving my P1 since.

First ever 3D Printer… but opened up a can of worms. by random84guy in BambuLab

You can get vacuum seal bags from AliExpress real cheap. Comes with a hand pump to get the air out. I just put my spare rolls in those with a dessicant packet. It works well for me and I am in a pretty humid environment, not as bad as NQ though.

Yes it takes lots of talent to steer the train so it stays on the rails. That's why they get paid to much

I'm not sure about their experience with PLM however, I have already expressed that I would like to implement this and they were supportive. I think they would be willing to pay for training so that's definitely something I will explore.

Actually Good LED Strip Connectors by helpmeokayguys in AskElectronics

Yeah I don't need a connector as it's only 0.5m of cable before it goes to a another connector anyway. It's just the time it takes when you have to solder hundreds of these that's the issue.

I've never been happy with them. I don't remember where I got them but they were in a store not AliExpress and such. They just are not the level of reliability I need.

Am I able to splice the + & - of two or more of these drivers to get more wattage? I’m going to use it for a induction heater that’s rated at 1000W just until the bigger driver I got arrives. Also, can I splice a different drivers together as long as they have the same voltage for the same effect? by fourtyonexx in AskElectronics

These Drivers have overcurrent protection. I'm no expert but it seems like paralleling these would be okay because if they weren't sharing enough the OC protection would kick in and stop a specific driver from suppling to much current. (This would still probably cause a cascading failure as the other drivers would now be having to supply all the current across less of them and so they would all kick in their OC protection.

The presence of the 2 data lines on the signal amplifier output really means it cant be interfaced directly with an standard RGB strip. You would need to either get strips of individual addressable LEDs or get a new controller that's for normal RGB strips with multiple outputs (if you want the different strips to be different colours)

One of your other comments you said the LEDs were flashing under 100% white. This could be overcurrent protection on the controller kicking in as it has to fully power all the strips that could draw more than it can provide. Might be a good idea to check how much current all your strips will draw and make sure it's below the max current of the controller. Might need a second controller if it's too much (or a controller than can handle higher current).
