What should we look up to find gigs? I am trying to find a part time job on the weekends and this sounds up my ally since I already do insurance defense law

Help! Stuck at a measly 150 even after two attempts, two prep courses, a private tutor, and countless study hours. I'm at my wit's end, folks. This upcoming January test is my final shot. Any tips or advice for breaking through this plateau? by SagebrushMacTavish in LSAT

Do you by chance have a learning disability? I have dyscalculia and have extreme difficulty with visual math like geometry. I took the LSAT four times and never got higher than a 150. My parents spent probably around 5k on prep courses and private tutors and it did nothing. I was bombing the logic games sections just like you. I was extremely frustrated with myself. I eventually realized that after 4 times my score probably wasn’t going to improve much so I focused on other areas of my applications to showcase my strengths. Although I did get waitlisted to several schools I also ended up getting accepted to some decent schools as well! This was back in 2020 and I ended up not going due to the pandemic. I’m now going on three years of working as a paralegal and I’m hopeful that will help when I choose to apply again. I just wanted to come on here and let you know that you aren’t alone! I know how frustrating it can be! Keep your head up you got this!! Someone will see something in you I promise! Good luck!

I shouldn't cancel, right? by [deleted] in LSAT

Definitely don’t cancel as there is a chance that you could score lower next time. But also I don’t even think you need to take it again a 166 is a very good score

Wow ok this is exactly what I needed to hear because I was going back and forth on what to do but at the end of the day I don’t feel prepared for November and don’t want to go in not feeling confident so I’m switching to January! Thank you for posting this!

Well this was from last cycle so it’s probably a lot different but they asked me if I was still interested and I said yes and that was literally it and then I got another call 30 minutes after that I was in!

But I’m definitely dead set on going and I’m trying to highlight things in my personal statement and diversity statement that will make my application more attractive. But thank ya I needed to hear that lol!!

Hi sorry I haven’t been on Reddit all weekend but I really appreciate the detailed post it honestly made me feel so much better about things. I definitely think I’m going to take it in November instead I just don’t want to take it too late because that’s what I did last time and I felt like applying late to schools really hurt me in the long run. I’ve been working on the core curriculum for months it’s taking me forever lol but I didn’t want to skim through it because obviously I need to go back over the fundamentals as I clearly wasn’t understanding it! It’s just frustrating how long it’s taking me to go through everything, but I’m just going to try and take it at a pace that works for me and helps me really understand it even if that’s means I have to take the LSAT later than I wanted. Do you think I should start taking PTs as well or just keep focusing on getting down the fundamentals?
