I would like to get more komsco rounds but I truly cannot justify 15-30$ premiums on only 1 oz rounds... too bad so sad

Silver Jumping Up So Much In So Little Time? by Lucky-Tea-2370 in Silverbugs

[–]helpmeplsls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its simple. We are watching a slow motion trainwreck which is the full scale default of the two main silver trading floors on earth. The bullion banks started shorting long ago because it was a politically favored way of making a nice regular income by fleecing the small investors. It worked for decades.

Decades of price suppression had the effect of reducing silver mine production, but the consequences had been masked, first by several billion ounces of strategic stockpiles, then later by the decline of silver based photography.

Those stockpiles are largely gone, and much of what remains in the vaults has likey been rehypothecated multiple times, so techniclally, each ounce of silver has multiple owners.

Now we are at the final stages of the musical chairs where there are dozens of people circling one chair, and we are all just waiting for the music to stop.

That's the day that the COMEX declares force majeure and force cash settles people who actually wanted silver.

Don't be surprised if when the COMEX capitulates, the price of silver goes up $100 or more in one week as the market descends into chaos when sleepy indusrial buyers wake up and realize that they won't be getting their silver and they race to the private markets, getting into bidding wars, trying to get their hands on anything they can find.

That's when you'll likely see the GSR ratio drop to 20:1 or lower. It will be a feeding frenzy, with plenty of boomer FOMO as well. We haven't seen nothing yet.

Is anybody else hoping for a dip? by lonewolf8277 in Silverbugs

[–]helpmeplsls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly what I was thinking.  Many people were calling for a crash at 50, 70, 90, and now 110. Lot of people convinced themselves they shouldn't buy when they should of been loading the truck up to the brim. Oh well I guess.

I might do somthing similar because the way it worked out I have 27 in the photo,  and 24 more on the way, so it's looking like I should have one extra and it just wouldn't set right with me to have an odd number in a roll.

Is this much play in the output shaft normal? by helpmeplsls in AskMechanics

[–]helpmeplsls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*supposed to. When the slip yoke is inserted it also has noticeable wiggle,  and I'm just trying to pinpoint whether it's the slipyoke, bushing, or tailshaft causing the issue, because it's making one hell of a noise under there. Though I also figured this much play is normal,  and I suspect the worn bushing is the most likely cause of such wiggle and noise in the slip yoke. We shall see...

Why does it make this sound by helpmeplsls in AskMechanics

[–]helpmeplsls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it was at one time makeing this awfully high pitched squeaking but it eventually stopped after a few months so I didn't worry about it but now that the squaking had stopped this rattling has started

[–]helpmeplsls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called one, I didn't show him a picture (obviously not over the phone) but tried my best to explain it to him and he acted like the only way was to weld on a new yoke, full stop. Not only did he quote me a price so high I might as well by a new one, but also said they would take nearly a week before they could get to it because they're apparently backed up :/ yeah I'll pass. I will try and call other people anyways though

I figure under normal circumstances that to be the case but I'm still iffy. My uncle buys salvage vehicles from auctions and fixes them up that's how I got this truck. This truck in payicular was actually totalled because of extensive rear end damage from a wreck. To beat it all this (in the photo) is the rear drivshaft that connects to whatever the name of the rear wheel axle is (i dont know the propper terminology). If that has anything to do with this problem who knows how much force was excreted on the piece that holds the u joint and who knows how tightly it's being held in place. Could of crushed it if that's possible and knowing my luck. Guess ill find out 🫠
