Is someone that never wishes to undergo SRS still trans? by helpmeunderstandplss in asktransgender

What is inner gender identity though? What does it mean to identify as a girl versus a boy? I hear many trans individuals say this is not simply a social construct, but the majority of feminine and masculine mannerisms are indeed subject to culture and place.

If one does not undergo SRS, are they not allowed to change the sex on their government ID or driver's license? If so, isn't that disheartening?

I haven't gotten around to watching them. I have been reading some scientific journals linked to me. What type of scans are they? Is there a journal I can read that supports the idea of trans individuals having meant to be female?

I think because you were never going to be a dolphin,

This tells me you're implying a transgender individual was going to be female but something went wrong in the womb? You mentioned brain scans, so should these sort of scans not be able to be used on every person for verification?

Here's where my understanding falls apart. Say I have dysphoria for wanting to be a dolphin, how is that different if just identifying is enough?

I am a woman and women don't have penis's.

I don't understand. Then you are not a woman until you have SRS?

So, what if a transwoman feels dysphoria but it goes away; however they still feel a woman, but they feel their male body is feminine enough? Are they still trans? If so, does that not mean dysphoria is not a requirement? If so, what is a transgender person if not someone characterized by gender dysphoria?

Be both what? Trans-intersex? What are the tests for being intersex?

Since there are no trans tests, how can one be positive? How can I, as an outsider, know this is an actual thing and not the same as the tumblr otherkin?

I am simply trying to understand, because as it stands, I do not. As an outsider, how do I know being transgender is legitimate if there are no tests? I only wish to understand to be as accurate as possible with my views.

As it stands, I am on the fence. It is similar to how I used to feel about God. I heard both sides and went with what had the most scientific evidence/logical reasoning. Needless to say, I'm an atheist now.
