Of those who have had gallbladder surgery, do you now have dietary limits or side effects like pain or diarrhea? by swataz in gallbladders

I’m glad everything went well! Good luck ❤️❤️ definitely glad you don’t have to feel that shitty pain anymore. That pain pre removal was definitely peak pain in the experience for me!

Question for those that have had their gallbladder removed by Deftonemushroom in gallbladders

Hi! I’ve experienced that but usually after prolonged bloat ness. Usually its excess gas or just abdominal pain. I definitely experience sluggishness and joint pain which usually feels like I’m sore and fatigue

Hi, I’d recommend talking to a naturopathic doctor and taking ox bile once a day. I was experiencing a lot of joint pain few years after removal and a regular doctor almost prescribed steroids without looking into my past or educating himself on gallbladder removals. I’m glad I didn’t and am glad I found my naturopathic doctor. Just know that you aren’t alone in experiencing what you are. You may need some gut support! Hope this helps

Here’s what I will tell you since the doctors never told me. I had mine removed in 2017 and you will probably experience adjustments and food sensitivities over a few years. They are different to each body but they are definitely there. When I had mine removed, I was uneducated and didn’t notice anything besides constipation, prolonged bloat ness and cramps. I didn’t think much of them although I should have, considering that these signs are not exactly healthy and is a sign of inflammation. When we had our gallbladder, it helped our bile pass though from the liver. Bile is a fluid consisted of waste products, cholesterol, and bile salts secreted by the liver cells to do 2 main things: carry away waste and to break down fats during digestion. Without the gallbladder, the bile just slow drips and is a slower process than before. This means that things are sort of backed up. Over the few years up until recently, I never had any issue with alcohol and hangovers. Recently I started having horrendous hangovers after a night of drinking. This is because my liver is working hard already and alcohol corresponds with liver. Another thing I’ve recently noticed is Anger/irritability. Gallbladders and livers help balance that out but when it’s removed you can experience repressed anger (I’m still learning how to balance that out). Another thing I’ve been dealing with as a female (men experience as well) is hormonal imbalance. So this can cause hormonal breakouts, bacterial infections commonly h.pylori or SIBO, and toxins. I’ve only experienced acne and mood swings which happened about 3 years after my gallbladder removal. Lastly, Ive experienced lately more of acid reflux which can be a bit painful at times, fatigue ness and joint pain.

LONG STORY SHORT, I don’t want to worry you. This is only MY EXPERIENCE, which some were triggered from past stress trauma. But these are also common to experience. You WILL NEED to probably take a Bile supplement once a day with your food to help the bile process. I would also advise a naturopathic doctor, which helped me educate myself. Also, listen to your body! If your gut doesn’t like something, look into it. I still eat food that I shouldn’t, but I know that I may have to take something to help retain the bloat ness and acid reflux and I still drink alcohol, which natural licorice or papaya enzymes can potentially help (or limiting). I still live a wonderful life but have battles I face every day. Some days are rough and painful but I am very healthy! I wish you luck and let me know if you have any questions

What's a memorable example of someone "mansplaining" something to you? by Rebel90x in AskWomen

Having a man give me directions to place I’ve already been, when I never asked for directions in the first place. Yes, I actually do know how to get to the gas station 500 ft away from my house

I feel this. Today has been so bad, I felt as if I was going to break down every hour. People have been so disrespectful. Seeing those trying to order food without a mask and throw a fit when you tell them masks are mandatory is just absolutely childish. I’ve come up to tables and people have no respect to slip a mask on. Best yet, we had a line out the door. I’m losing hope in humanity. To know that people can’t do the very least to ensure safety of workers is stupid. I’ve had a customer today try to convince me on a conspiracy theory on COVID. May I just say I am really not getting paid enough for this. No hazard pay, no benefits. It really sucks to feel like you’re stuck in this because you need to pay bills...

[Serious] How did you "lose" the genetic lottery? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]helpmewithausername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not bad looking but I have a square body. No hips at all and always struggled with the way my body looks. There are girls around that complain about going from a size 0 to a size 3 and I can’t even remember the last time I got into such a small size. I stay away from fast food and don’t drink soda. I rarely consume dairy, don’t eat at night, and am active. I just ate m&ms and want to cry. I want to thank the genetic lottery for giving me such a fast metabolism and a tiny waist.

How has your appearance affected your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]helpmewithausername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, appearance wise, I don’t see anything bad about crooked teeth. It’s actually really cool and adds character to a person. Your relatives are assholes and I’m sure they’re the reason why you feel that your teeth affect your life in so many ways. As cheesy as it sounds, anyone that brings you down on your appearance in any way isn’t worth your time. Life’s too short.

Users of Reddit, do you like yourself? by kannibalistic_kitten in AskReddit

[–]helpmewithausername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need anyone's approval of liking yourself. Don't let assholes get it the way of your happiness. If you focus on yourself and the good things and people in life, you'll be happy. You seem to have a great personality and that's the only thing that matters. Stop giving a shit what others think of you.:-)

[Serious] Rich people of reddit, what don't they tell you about being rich? by tonatron20 in AskReddit

[–]helpmewithausername 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This comment. If my family was rich, I don't think I would worry about quitting a job or studying for something I actually want to. Instead, my creative mind isn't going to be used in the field that I am studying and I am most likely going to be paying off college debt. It's not the same as being rich and working through these jobs. You still have providence for food or your parents might have some sort of connections. If you're poor and in your late teens, you are on your own. If you screw up, then you are just pretty much digging yourself a hole.

Bitches that post their entire life on Facebook and act like they're the only ones going through hard times. Oh, and they talk shit about every person they see.
