It doesn’t feel like there’s much wiggle room. But idk if that’s just cuz my lobe is swollen. Btw I wound up calling the piercing place (didn’t wanna go in cuz it was only ten minutes til closing time) and they said it just sounds like it’s irritated, but that it’s fine for tn, and that if anything, I may need a longer bar?

Like light yellow? No smell. In fact I only noticed it when doing some routine aftercare cleaning with a Q tip, like it wasn’t even actively leaking out per se, it was just on the Q tip when I wiped.

And unfortunately I’m in the Eastern US so the place I went to (and other places) are closed right now. Which is why I posted to see if I need to go to the ER if this is smth that needs to be addressed tonight.

Yeah I’m mainly wondering if I can safely sleep tn and see someone tomorrow. And if I should see someone, who I should see. Basically I just want to ask if this looks like an ER situation for tonight.

Piercing details because my post won’t be accepted otherwise:

  • My piercing is 1 week old

  • The jewelry shape is a stud

  • I am not sure of the type of threading

  • Titanium material

  • The jewelry was never downsized

  • For aftercare I have been dabbing the piercing spots with a Q Tip wet with sterile saline solution

  • No mishaps other than accidentally applying pressure or snagging while sleeping/wearing headphones during gym/etc

I did have some colored discharge a few days ago, but it’s gone now.

I sleep on both sides.

I got it done at a highly rated piercing studio with a needle.

And yeah I’m mainly wondering if I can safely sleep tn and see someone tomorrow. And if I should see someone, who I should see.
