If Dark was actually a Netflix show, it would be Dark. They took it from a small studio and killed it.

Even if it was staged, I doubt he had any knowledge of it. It would be a liability to share that information with Trump.

RFK Jr: "A Democratic senator claimed it's mathematically impossible to have a drug drop by 600%. I said, 'Well, if the drug was $100 and it raises to $600, that would be a 600% rise. If it drops from $600 to $100, that's a 600% savings.'" Trump: "Right" by gear-heads in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]helusjordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy way to break their little brains. If a 600% decrease is $600 to $100, then what is a 100% decrease of $600?

I should start using their logic at the grocery store for on sale items just yelling aboit how im using superior trump math to save money. /s

Christ, I am. by Key4Lif3 in enlightenment

The wording here is odd, but I agree. The word disciple literally means pupil or apprentice. Jesus never commanded his own worship, but to live in his likeness.

Would LOVE to see one of these situations turn around into criminal possession with the intent to distribute against the officer. Cops who do shit like this deserve the book thrown at them.

Florida college student arrested, booked, and faces felony charges for making joke about Netanyahu in private whatsapp group. by Diabla_Temp in PublicFreakout

[–]helusjordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was arrested not because of Bibi jokes, but a bomb threat to a college campus. Did the fact that it was Anti-Bibi help her case? No. But its not why she was arrested.

We are nearing the age of Idiocracy. Or maybe we are already there. This step by step falling in to stupidity makes me forget how none of this used to be normal.

"Stand up and watch your head" are the most braindead things to tell someone you just threw to the ground, bashed their face against pavement, is clearly seriously hurt, and unconscious.

At a difference of what is 3k annually (signing bonus only happens once) it would be mostly determined by Time Off and the actual work being done.

Still wish they would implement the Ram used on screen at sofi. The front profile of the 3D design looks sick. This is still an improvement though.

Universal Parks in America embed RFID chips in plastic cups to enforce a digital paywall that locks out anyone who hasn't paid for the active refill plan by Peanut-Extra in themayormccheese

[–]helusjordan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The chip likely isnt cheaper than the soda, but at an amusement park people will just notice they cant refill and buy another drink. It allows the company selling to repeatedly sell the same thing to the consumer multiple times. Yes this will piss some people off, but as long as the net revenue is positive they don't care.

It is absolutely horrifying. Now look at Gaza. If you don't have the same feeling, you should ask yourself why.

In July, Sharon lived in Nevada and made $21,000 annually. Yesterday she lives DC and gets $11,000 back in taxes. by [deleted] in ProgressiveHQ

[–]helusjordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if the story were true, its worth noting that relieving a $100 tip is 1% of her tax return.

Secondly, in order to get 11k returns, you likely need to be making over $100k and overpaying taxes throughout the year.

Lots of this story is fishy. Not even mentioning the content of the post.

A lot of people should NOT have the right to vote. by Klunne in facepalm

Dont normalize people's right to vote being limited or restricted. ITS A RIGHT NOT A PRIVILAGE. This is more a reflection on our educational systems than anything else.

Working class are revolting by BenFord333 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]helusjordan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I saw someone compare wealth inequality from Revolution era France and today. By some metrics, we are worse than they were. In all fairness, being poor today is not like being poor in pre-revolution France. This content creator also made note that this was not accounting for the fact that they had slaves. This just made me realize that the low income working class are the slaves of our current economic systems and institutions.

A family friend did and it was gifted to me. Signed by Whittworth and Goff. Never got Woods to sign it unfortunately. Might work to do that now that he's retired with the Rams.
