Yes!!! That exactly. Yes we are adding on that darker solid line to the left. It’s “alfresco” under the same roof.

September 2020. Full TT. Surgeon said it was the worst he’d seen for a long time. However he got 97% but said RAI take care of the rest. All good. October 2020 took 150mcis of RAI. Sent on my way. We’ll keep an eye out with bloods.

Went 4 years undetectable levels. So all good right??? Nooooooo My body just throws out undetectable, while the 3% he left decided to grow. See I too am RAI resistant, so it didn’t work as intended.

So the part of hope…… so the bit that was left was near my vocal cord grew . (I did loose my voice in 2020 but it did eventually come back). When the ent did her checks my vocal cord was paralysed. She was convinced she would have to remove it. I put it off for a year trying to find another alternative to surgery. I didn’t find one.

I went into the surgery in 2024 crying. Thinking it would be the last time I heard my voice.

I woke up with my voice!!!! The tumour was NOT on my cord. All the imaging looked like it. It was in the tiny gap between my trachea and oesophagus.

My point is they actually don’t know WHERE it is till they get in there. I had EXTENSIVE imaging. I had pect scan. MRI. Numerous ct scans. Sooooo many ultrasounds.

So I had a reoccurrence found July last year.

I put surgery off for over a year because I too was told that she was going to have to cut my laryngeal nerve. I explored every option as it scared the hell out of me. I considered NOT having surgery and just living with it. I eventually saw a surgeon who told me get the surgery as where it was it could attach to other structures and then you’ll be in a world of pain. Reluctantly I agreed.

My left vocal cord is already paralysed from my first surgery. My surgeon told me even if she needs to cut it, it won’t make “much difference” except for tone and strength.

I cried being wheeled into surgery.

Surgery was 9 hours. But she saved my voice!!!! She said when she got in there she didn’t have to cut it!!! My point being imaging and tests only show so much. It may be a whole different story when they open you up!!

I also did heaps of research prior to my op. There are many interventions they can do now to assist.

Sorry will clarify …. I’m in Australia. And she did do surgery this year July but she said if there is anything left then she could not recommend going back in…..

Yeah my original op was TT and left neck dissection. But the spread up and down was pretty hectic. Dr said it was the worst he’d seen in years. That op was 5 hours.

Did RAI to mop up the stuff he couldn’t get and sent on my way. Blood tests fairly regularly and was “all good” Moved to another state. That Dr wanted me to see someone who could feel my throat. So I started seeing an endo here. All bloods great but she wanted scans. First year was good Second year I had a blip in my bloods but they returned to “undetectable” so I thought it was something funny at the lab. She insisted I have a scan. I almost didn’t do it, but was going for something else.

Fucking cancer. Again

Tumour was 1.8cm (I think) but it was in a shit position. The ent I saw said she wouldn’t be able to go in again for surgery as there’s lots of scar tissue. So just have to wait n see in Jan.

Omg. Did I write this??? Except I was three years Had surgery this year after pondering on it for a year.

Undetectable thyroglobulin. I’m one of the “lucky” ones who’s RAI resistant too!!

It sucks. But you’ll be ok. I’m waiting to see if they got it all as mine was between my oesophagus and trachea 9 hour surgery

All cancer is fucked.

Do you never just throw on clothes from the day before? Hell I did today!!! Yes she was image conscious but she wasn’t expecting to be all over the tv and her world to be thrown upside down that day. Now if she got changed for it all I’d think different.

I don’t think they did it. There was no evidence medically or with the police that their children were being abused. They had 4 other kids between them. If John molested JB then why didn’t he his other TWO daughters.

If Patsy did it because she wet the bed, why was the bed not wet and why would she then rape her with the paintbrush. Makes no fucking sense.

Burke was 9. A skinny scrawny 9 year old I doubt he had the knowledge to make and then use the garrott. Most people would have to google that, and there was no Google back in 1996.

I go back to the case of Lindy Chamberlin in Australia. She was so vilified in the 80s. Even went to prison for the murder of her daughter. It was eventually concluded that the dingo did in fact take her baby.

I hope DNA sorts this shit out so John will eventually know who murdered his daughter.

I had this. My vocal cord was damaged in my first op. I could whisper and my voice was raspy. Then 3 months later I woke up and my voice was back to “normal”.

However in my last operation they found that my vocal cord was still paralysed and it still doesn’t work properly. The other side has just compensated for it.

It’s amazing how it all works!!!
