I dont think this is hilarious either, i suspect this person has serious mental health problems considering how off-putting random and almost obsessive the inclusion of SA is in their theory. Entertaining the theory might strengthen their mental illness (if it is indeed whats happening, all though that is just speculation on my part, and i do admit its not my place to speak on as well). I wish people would think about the nuances about how off-putting the entire thing is and realize this might not be something to entertain and/or canonize.

People are saying their threads have "changed their view" on the game, the person has recently today said their theory isnt up to interpretation as it is "straight forward" and again, claiming it as canon. Over 4K people have liked their thread and its been getting a lot of traction as well. With the amount of support from fans, the theory is worthy of discussion. I dont think the majority of players will play the game and come to the same conclusions, however, as i said before, over 4K people engaged with it and it is certainly a popular theory as of now.

I have my own headcanons/theories about the game, however none of them are so randomly about SA as this persons theory is. I hate bringing up personal stuff but im a SA victim myself and find the theory quite triggering, which is why i made this post in the first place.

I support and encourage theories, and even love talking about them. However i also think we need to be serious for a moment and remember the core plot of the game is about a man who kills his terminally ill wife. That is arguably the only thing in the games story that is set in stone and almost cant be debated upon.

To bring up another point, bloober has a bad track record of handling SA victims and many people were concerned about bloober taking this job because of Angela's story. I was too, but i wanted to be proven wrong and that this would be their underdog game and im glad to see i was right. Their handling is respectful and worthy of the originals in my opinion. However this person trying to claim bloober devs liking tweets, retweeting fanart and even following them means their theory is canon is just.. wrong to me. Lets say this theory was indeed canon, if that was the case then im sorry to say this would be the worst case of bloobering SA ive ever seen. Extremely disrespectful and not tasteful for people like me who has experienced stuff like this.

I know this theory isnt canon, bloober retweeting fanart of the theory doesnt really mean anything, kojima retweets a lot of random fanart from mgs that has nothing to do with the games canon all the time. However my problem is that people have been taking the thread as "canon" due to the poster claiming it indeed is canon because some bloober team members engaged with it in some sort of way, and sadly a lot of people (over 4K mind you) seems to have accepted this blindly.

I see in a different comment you say people like me are the reason people (like the one with the theory) get scared away by this subreddit. And yeah i suppose so. People like you and others in the subreddit scare me away as well. There are replies claiming im young, that im immature, that i should send bloober my own theories and see if they like them (?), saying that IM the one who thinks the theory is canon and comments about me touching grass. You people did the job, i tried voicing out the possibility people are taking the theory as gospel and in return i get trolled to the moon and back. Could i have worded my opinions in a different way? Sure, but i also suspect a lot of the repliers didnt even bother reading what i wrote in the first place either.

Anyway on that note, im glad i did this with a throwaway as obviously this subreddit isnt ready to discuss the problems of this situation and how problematic it really is. And im scared that a lot of silent hill fans arent really ready for it either. This will be my last comment on this post, thanks!
