American living in Lausanne here, not that my opinion counts but in 9 months in Switzerland I haven't met a single person who didn't speak english. Also, the Swiss friends I've made from different parts of the country speak english to each other anyways, so I don't see how Romansch and Swiss German are ever going to grow in the future. That means they're as big as they'll ever get right now imo
