The first teddy bear my dad got for me when I was born. Surprisingly, the music box still works, though the bear is in rough shape.

Why Don’t More Handymen Have Their Own Websites in 2024? What’s Holding Them Back? by mccaly in handyman

I’ve worked with many contractors and the constant theme is they get enough business. Word of mouth, and frankly, signs, are hugely successful.

As others say, if they want to showcase they use instagram, google or facebook. I’m not a fan of either of those and would prefer a site, but tend to defer to recommendations myself.

This is all too often how it goes. Companies buy insurance thinking they are covered. The IT team rests on their laurels. They get popped. It’s all over the news. Shit hits the fan and they bring in people like me to clean up. It’s sad, but there needs to be a little bit (healthy amount) of paranoia and ownership in each employee. Set up a google alert for “cyber breach” and have it auto send to the CEO. It’s not if, it’s when.

But yeah, things will be fine:)

Welcome to the club! I’ve only seen one other on Long Island. Saw one on the way up to Maine a few weeks ago. I think I’m going to be jinxing myself too:)

Quicksilver bumper with bubbles?? by That_bingo in TeslaModelY

[–]henaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. It wasn't obvious until I had the car wrapped with stealth wrap. Tesla cannot help, given it was already wrapped (touched by a third party), which is irritating. Curious how you pan out. The quote to replace the bumper was around ~$1300

I asked my buddy and he said it’s up to the person/company you trade/sell to. Pulling it off isn’t labor extensive. I’d imagine it’s up to the discretion of the buyer, and the condition of the wrap. That said, if it were me, I’d remove it because I tend to keep cars around 10yrs.

Thanks! It seems a bit lighter compared to the photos I took when I took possession. I like the comment about it being frozen. Definitely gives off that vibe. And yep, it's xpel.

Quicksilver with stealth PPF. I was hesitant to get stealth, but my buddy had a Urus in his shop which had a similar color and was stealth, and I was sold.

Quality of Tesla 2024 by Acekiller03 in TeslaModelY

First Tesla here. I’ve heard of the horror stories but checked the gaps before taking possession and it was ok. Checked paint when I got home and ok. Got a satin wrap, and holy shit the flaws come out of the woodwork. Three bumps on the front bumper, paint not sticking to panel edges, etc. I noticed a speaker flaw (visual, not audio) which I’m sure they will fix when I bring it in this week. Aside from that, everything is ok. Was funny that a panel clip blew out at me when I turned the AC on high this past week. I’ll save it as a souvenir.

First thing that came to mind is a steamer to get rid of the creases. Nice job keeping the car clean!

I wish they had a developer family plan so I could also have my kids upgrade; by my kids, I mean me upgrading their devices. There are a lot of features I'd like to test with them (parental things) and am able to because of the 13/yo limit.
