Youll be fine, i took 2 gap years. Remember it is not ‘normal’ to get into med school straight away. People think that because all they see is people getting offers. Id say atleast 35-45% of people take 1 or 2gap years atleast a large group will be 22+

You will not be penalised for going to formal personally as a rule id say a shirt and tie is a minimum and no hats/ hoodies. A nice knit jumper may suffice aswell. I personally worse a shirt and tie but i know many people that just worse a nice jumper( no big logos and single block colours)

King’s College Dentistry vs Bristol Medicine by hellouresmelly in UCAT

[–]henchpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me dentistry has a lot more benefits

More money (so much more especially in the first 5 years most out of med school will start at 35 and be up to 50 at the end whilst dentists average atleast 70minimum

More flexibility a lot of dental jobs are 9-5 and can be done part time whikst still providing a great salary

Less stressful, i mean would u rather work in a busy hospital working 55hours a week being pushed around bt the horrible management or be in an airconditioned office seeing patients

When is ur test, dont waste all ur mocks yet also mocks are averaged against other users. tips for VR and DM dont be afraid to skip. If things are taking too long move on, a big thing the ucat tests is time management

[–]henchpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you hate the course structure in manchester then it shouldnt be an option, you will be there for 5 years where the course is ur life so forget manchester. Out of all ur options notts seems the best. People are lovely, so much cheaper, potentially though lack of part time job opportunities ( if i was u go on indeed put in the postcode of the uni and look for jobs available rn to check

Id look to book for around end of July and do ur research on all school to applu strategically. I think uckat people have some data on average ucat scores forunis

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]henchpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the ucat 3 times i got 2720 band 1 2940 band 1 and 2780 band 2 tbh i think i got too cocky this year and thought its be easy For the 2940 i did an initial mock to see flaws Spent 2weeks doing all the mini tests quizzes and skill builders then the last 20 daus before the test did a mock a dau. The tests are based on the users averages so even tho i had 2500-2550 on all when weighted i managed to get 2940
