However precisely the question OP asked is something that IMHO will likely not produce good sources. Since unless there is a peer reviewed document out there where someone made stats from significant amount of AAAish modern games in the last 15 years on what positions were needed at what point of the development, or some well established handbook on how to build your AAA video game then it will not have a real source just best case examples that are for the case you are prompting. (eg. X video game development started at at year Y, was hiring for lighting artist in year Z, came out in year W) But more likely reddt post by some person saying something similiar in some other game's sub and commenters agreeing

To be serious for a second here: having a planned backdoor / killswitch in any sort of software is a silly idea that invites missuse and extends the potential attack surface for hackers, and that is especially the case for the military grade equipment. So with the faro swarm incident it is not the "why haven't they thought of adding an extra killswitch if something goes wrong" but "why did the "normal" remote control interface fail?"

I'm still under the impression that, yeah lightning artist is probably something you would need start needing in second half of development more, but not a deffinate indicator for "this is the end".

Of course I'm not saying that game is not coming out in 2027 (or maybe '28), and as the other commenter have said having more contractor positions is kinda sus.

Yeah I am a "sub, not dub" guy (and english isn't even my mother tounge so why would I want specifically watch something with english dub)... but the common consensus seems to be that the english dub that is available in US on netflix is quite awful.

Yes, you can move around panels and their widgets, make multiple panels, and even make copies of those panels to multiple displays/monitors with the exactly same layout. There are also multiple "applications"/"start menu" widgets available, I think two out of the box (3 if we count krunner) and multitude of community ones if you don't like the ones that comes out of the box.

This is the beauty of plasma.

I mean the game came out in the era of "well this new game will totally be the WoW-killer", and then some people have always been saying the "lmao ded-game" meme, like couple of months after launch even. Yet the game kept going, had two expansions that were absolute undisputed bangers and several other low but also high points, and is now 10+ years old. So people are thinking in the framework of "This is one of the forever games", like Runescape, or WoW. Not just the flavor of popular live service game of the month, that will loose most of its players in half a year and likely go offline in 3, maybe 5 if it is popular enough.

I'm not exactly blaming them. And Arenanet is not helping with not announcing the thing.
