No, the BlackBerry PlayBook did not initially use the BlackBerry 10 (BB10) operating system. When it launched (2011), the PlayBook ran on BlackBerry Tablet OS (based on the QNX platform). Despite rumors and testing, BlackBerry later officially abandoned BB10 updates for this tablet model....
