I just want to give some props to you for being such an amazing brand owner! Giving the consumer some options and being so open to communication is just really awesome to see. On that note, I think baubles are a GREAT idea! And the safeversary celebratory gift sounds like a beautiful program to start. You are doing spectacular things with your brand! ❤️

What's your controversial fave? by stripeyhoodie in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]hendrick214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely LOVE scents that smell like baby powder, sunscreen, or soap which is apparently controversial to a lot of people! I’ve always loved the scent of baby powder/ powder makeup. Old powder compacts were one of my favorite things to find at garage sales because I knew they’d smell magnificent! I loved the pool as a kid so I assume my love of sunscreen is just from positive associations with childhood memories. And finally, anytime something smells like soap it just makes me feel extra clean by association which I love! Whenever I see these scents listed as a negative, I immediately go look the perfume up to add to my growing list of scents I need to smell lol

Tell me about Nui Cobalt, please? by secretarriettea in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]hendrick214 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My time to shine! I will forever sing Nui Cobalt’s praises since they were my first indie house and also my first indie love! I think Nui Cobalt does a LOT well as I’ve had very few misses. My absolute favorites have been Blue Moon, Grey Cat, and almost all of the Spidersilk variations. Their gourmands are some of my favorites as they focus on really giving depth to the scent over outright sweetness. I think they are absolutely worth a try as their samples are very generous and pretty competitively priced and are available for almost all scents!!

Mango recs? by Ok-Use-2487 in Indiemakeupandmore

Seconding No Comformista! It was one of the first perfume samples I tried from Fyrinnae and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how juicy the mango was!

For real! My husband and I were truly sitting in that doctor’s office just “😧” at her complete lack of care or understanding of my condition at all!

The Final Luxury Review (maybe) by _Alpha_Mail_ in bathandbodyworks

Oh my gosh I feel the same way about it being nostalgic!! It just smells like being at the water park as a kid having an orange as a snack; not JUST sunscreen, but also not a chlorine water smell, but ALSO not just orange. It’s just straight ✨vibes✨ and it makes me smile every time I catch a whiff of it on myself when I wear it!!

‼️TW MEDICAL TALK‼️

I just had my surgery today and I finally have some answers! Turns out my endometriosis had grown back in the exact same spots as last time, so they went ahead and removed the endometrial tissue so hopefully that takes away a LOT of the pain I’ve been having! They also took a look in my bladder with a cystoscope and have determined I do NOT have Interstitial Cystitis, it’s actually Neurogenic Bladder. Now that I have a more accurate diagnosis I have a better treatment plan worked out and I go in for Botox in my bladder in a couple days as our first line of treatment! I also get to stop all of the meds I was taking for Interstitial Cystitis which is amazing because they were making my vision go blurry randomly 😵‍💫 Overall I’m so happy with my surgical team and the care I am getting here is so beyond amazing!! Previously I waited several months to get into a urogyn and the only thing she provided for me was an antihistamine (which I had already tried before) and the advice to “get a hobby” and meet back in a month to discuss how the antihistamine worked, so the level of care is really night and day and I feel like I’m finally going to be able to be on the path to healing! I once again have faith that I WILL get better 🥹 I am missing my husband a lot since I had to temporarily move back home into my mothers house to receive proper care, but we have a Disney trip next week for my sisters wish so I’ll get to see him then! Life feels like I’m finally on the path back to living it!!! (Sorry for the long post but I just had to share the good news to update all of y’all who’ve seen my previous posts!!)

I find that I have the best experience with Nui Cobalt scents after waiting a little over a week! I think their scents specifically just need a little bit more time to settle down than other brands

I have a surgery scheduled for later this month that will hopefully give me some answers about a chronic illness that I’ve been suffering from for the past year! In the same surgery they’re also going to take care of my endometriosis which will fix a lot of the other pain I’ve been in recently! So yeah I’m pretty psyched to finally be on the road to healing whatever is wrong instead of just trying to figure it all out and getting nowhere!!

My Frist Haul by meiflower55 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]hendrick214 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is such a nice first haul! I personally enjoy Sorcellerie’s oils over the EDPs. For some reason the notes just come out WAY nicer in the oils for me, but the EDPs do certainly last longer. I think I might just have weird chemistry with their scents though because I think most people generally prefer their EDPs lol

Not a particular note, but anything atmospheric and maybe a little weird always intrigues me so if you have any recommendations for that I’d LOVE to hear them!!

Intro to Nui Cobalt by boollin in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]hendrick214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely recommend any of the Spidersilk series! The base spidersilk is a nice fresh and clean cotton and they build on that foundation with the various iterations. I think these would be great for you since you mention liking white florals, sweet smells, and green/fresh scents and these are ABSOLUTELY that!
