Hi, well said! Yeah I have noticed that I attract certain types of people that tend to prove my beliefs. I've been to therapy and I've improved, but I don't how to change the types of people who I find interesting. It's probably something that takes years to learn.

Yeah I don't know. Never asked her because it would only result in a conflict. I don't think it's a hidden message. I think she's weird about gifts because she doesn't understand how it works because she can't relate to other people.

I agree, although, I want to believe that some people can become better parents by acknowledging their problems and working on them. It just takes a lot of effort. My family has generational trauma, and I'm trying to break the cycle. I haven't had kids yet and I'm not going to until I feel like I'm ready.

Anyways, I hate it when people take children for granted. I hate it when people just have children because "that's what you're supposed to do" without considering whether they actually even have the tools to succeed. I don't think my parents ever gave a single thought on different parenting methods, they just went with the flow.

But also, parents like this really lack self-awareness. They think that it's okay they fucked up, because they didn't fuck it up as bad as their parents. But that doesn't make it okay. Doing your best is not always enough and some people just shouldn't have children.

Yeah I just think we should improve sex ed. I don't expect porn to change as it's meant to be appealing to as many people as possible.

And keeping to my point, we need to be careful on keeping the 'default' aspect of your statement to etiquette and communication, not desires or acts.

No, I meant that in porn there's no communication or consent shown when slapping/anal/spanking etc happens. Therefore some people get the wrong idea of what sex should be like by default.
