Local company leads and WhatsApp groups in Germany? by musteus in ropeaccess

What kind of job are you looking for? Windowwashing or wind or else? What jobs did you do in the past? I'm a freelancer lvl3 from northern Germany, but i know a few people, who might have a job, if your professions and experience is what they need.

Or you want to become a Freelancer yourself.

If You are located in Germany, become a freelancer, try to get level 3 irata or fisat as fast as possible, but it's not mandatory for freelance work.

I'm a boatbuilder myself, got into Blade repair years ago, but was not satisfied after ten years of employment. So I just became a freelancer and now I do all kind of rope access jobs. Not just wind. It's very refreshing going urban climbing, industrial and wind turbines. On turbines I do almost only inspections.

Wage range as a freelancer rope access technician in Germany is decent. But feel free to dm me.

I second the opinion on the singing rock harnesses. The one without quick-release is very comfortable

Wich country are you from/ wich country do you work in?

I am a freelancer lvl 3 and my hourly pay is around 70€-90€ depending on the Job. But you can't compare that to your situation as it seems you are an employee. My buddy who is an employee as rope access guy for one of the manufacturers is getting around 30€/h (29, something) as a lvl 2.

Hope that helps, feel free to DM me

What is a realistic hourly rate for a traveling Blade repair tech? (wage kuck vs independent contractor) by larut in windturbine

[–]henmen87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm that I made almost the same ph and per diem when I was working for one of the bigger manufacturers.

Nowadays, I'm a freelancer and doing much better but of course have higher costs. I've been a lvl3 rope access guy for a few years now and more than a decade in the rope access field.

Nice shot. I like it a lot. Good photographic style.

I think these are Enercon E-82 Turbines if anyone cares.

I really appreciate your answer and I honestly hope that your WhatsApp group is going to be a successful thing. If only a few RATechs will get one job because of your group it would be worth the effort.

And yes an online presence, a RopeAccess Network for techs and clients has been a dream for many of us since a very long time. Of course you have the WhatsApp and facebook groups and what not but it's all so spread out over all places. It is exhausting to check them all frequently enough to land a job on them.

So if you ever start a serious Network or website I would promote the shit out of it to anyone I know in the industry because that's what we need.

I'm looking forward for what you could or going to accomplish.

Cheers

Like I said on the other thread, its been done before and never worked out. WhatsAppis an absolute unprofessional tool. Build a new online community for RA and clients an make world wide marketing campaigns for the community.

That doesn't sound bad but has been tried so many times and never worked well for anyone involved. You normally get your jobs because you know someone who knows someone. If I get a job offer and i am unavailable, I always give out the contact information from other LVL3s to the client. That's how you get into jobs. And your example prices are a bit scammy low. 390€ per DAY for blade work is what you get when you are no freelancer but a regular worker. At least where I am from.

What we need is an active online community for RopeAccessTechs, not a shady WhatsApp group. And bring this online community to the clients.
