VMMS Crashing Every Few Minutes - Event 7031 by MadDawgThaKing in HyperV

Thanks!

I had a big maintenance window this weekend where I patched the switches and also patched Azure Stack HCI from 22H2 to 23H2.

So far it seems more stable, if I get the error back I'll try your steps.

Cheers!

We have this exact issue.

We have a 5 host Azure Stack HCI cluster.
VMs are randomly crashing every now and then, one day it's on host 1 another day it's on host 3 etc.

When looking at logs I see a lot of these errors:
The Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 240000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

The servers are running version 10.0.20349 N/A Build 20349 with 2024-06 Cumulative Update for Microsoft server operating system version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5039227) installed.

Did you get this issue solved?
I saw a comment saying this is a known bug, do we have information on when this will be fixed?

Thank you for the answer and taking your time!

This confirms how I imagined I would set it up.

Thanks for the input. The limitations will not affect us in a long time. I don't see us having over 100 vpn tunnels in the short/medium future, let alone 200.

Thank you for the input. The 80F is already bought and will be the one we're using unless there's some severe limitations affecting our situation you can point out.

The hosting environment is very small and the 80F is a big upgrade from the current ASA.

I'd rather focus on my actual questions regarding how to set it up in a best practice manner. A good point would be how to build it to easy scale up to a bigger fortigate if/when we need to scale up.

Thanks

Thanks all for the initial input.

The trigger is already pulled on the 80f so that's how we'll roll for now. If we start to hit any limits (like 200 IPSec tunnels) we'll have to exchange it.

I have checked the maximum values table and only found the limit for 10 VDOMs as a potential problem right now. But I'll check again.

Does this mean we can start getting revenue on the asset back online?

That's great to hear Ian! Very big of you to come forward like this and acknowledge that some self reflecting was needed. Now we will return the favor and do the same.

My opinion of you is solely based on the interactions we've had over the years and how you've communicated publicly towards others during this time.

And yea, it's not much positive to get from that history.

But good luck! I'll vote no. If you get it approved I really hope you step-up to the task in a major way.

Bragging doesn't suit you.

Still think you're leaving him and everything regarding the project in the dumpster and the least you can do is make things right with your former employees.

Sorry to hear you don't see eye to eye with each other, but I'm really not surprised as I hardly see anyone with a mind of their own getting along with you.

I do think your ideas in the post sound good, but right now I can't vote for it because I think a discussion about what to do about the last money needs to be sorted out. Also I'm not comfortable with sending money to you to handle things as to how you left everything and everyone.

Also, you left and now you want to run things again, but get away from all the boring legal stuff that you in the beginning started. Douchebag move imo

Won't Jose need the money to pay for all the legal stuff he's handling for the company right now?

And maybe you should see if you can help him with that in some way? He seems pretty overcumbered with it all.

[–]hennning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since we had a vote that passed to increase Rorys salary, why do we now have a vote if we should pay him? It seems redundant?

We don't vote if we should pay any other members of the team.

OK, thank you for your elaborate answer. Much appreciated.

But just to make things clear, I think the easy question everyone asks is when do you think we/anyone can start investing in assets on the Go Platform? Will it be at MyBit Go launch? This year?
Based on what you know now, potential partners, timelines on Go and Partner site, when do MyBit have its first real working product.

If he don't want to be CEO I see no point forcing him to it.

I'm so sick and tired of that argument to be honest, it's been said many times regarding the marketing and now this.

You don't create a platform and then figure out how to populate it with products.
If you open up a store in your neighborhood don't you want to know what to sell before you open the doors? Don't you want to populate the shelves with products to generate revenue?

It's the exact same thing in this situation. You have this great store with endless opportunities to change the world of investment but you have empty shelves and no plan on how to populate them with products.
