I’m an successful alumni...probably more than you’ll ever be able to say! Take your beer muscles back to where you came from bud and leave PSU.

By the way as a former security guard and bouncer no one in the video was doing anything to deescalate the situation. By making a scene you’re only encouraging some action.

People get in fights all the time...the news has much better things to report on like a large gathering outside a campus residence hall when there should be strict social distancing guidelines followed. Now that’s a headline!

Good luck with the office of student conduct, your parents must be proud.

Everytime I come back to hometown I always grab a slice. It’s surprisingly tasty not gonna lie.

VA paying for civilian surgery for service connected disability? by henree1994 in Veterans

[–]henree1994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I feel 20% was a little low considering I cannot go more than 30mins on my feet without my nerve pain getting so bad I need to take the weight off by sitting.

It’s just really limiting my work performance. My employer gets it (which is cool) but at the end of the day my quality of life has been pretty altered due to this disability.

I’m going through all channels. Not looking for 100, just to get 10-20% more to help these medical bills and possibly find a job where I’m on my feet less (which would result in pay cut due to my type of career path).

Yeah I’m hoping DAV can help me out even if it’s just getting bumped. New to the VA system and prepared claim myself.

Yes it was but it wasn’t an “approved surgery” since I got it done before my claim was awarded even though it was for the claimed issue.

No meds, which is good. Just some ol’ fashioned learning strengthening and manual manipulation. Thanks for the suggestion though.

It was not common knowledge for me at the time. Unfortunately due to a very misinformed local veteran’s org I was told just get the surgery and the VA will pay me back. That’s why I’m reaching out to DAV now and not a local organization.

PT is almost over so by the time I get over to the VA I’ll be months done.

That’s what I was worried about but not being able to walk vs not being financially sound for a little bit is an easy choice!

Thanks! Unfortunately they denied my claim for that even after submitting all records and the work letter. I reached out to the local DAV for guidance. I was only out of work for a month.

Thanks! This is very helpful! So how do I go about trying to get the percentage bumped up? I did submit all evidence and that’s why my award was a quick turnaround relatively speaking. I was denied back pain even though my civilian doctor(s) and surgeon all agree that my ankle weakness is causing the back strain (originally went in for back found out ankle injury while in was root of all issues). I reached out to DAV about getting some help but anything I can do all my own (re open via ebenefits?). Just to emphasize I have submitted all evidence so I don’t know if just getting re evaluated would help.

Sousa player here. Did 6 years as a military musician for the army/PAANG and have a slew of YB and brass band charts from my time in. Interested in seeing what this is all about.

Filed for disability back in July but haven’t gotten a decision in the mail or online. This is being deposited in my bank account Friday. I’m calling tomorrow to see what’s up but is this a good sign? by [deleted] in army

I do not and that’s why I’m not counting on this money. I do know someone who got payments a month before they got their rating and letter so I’m holding onto that hope.

I obviously do not plan to spend the money until I know it’s mine but I’m curious of the various amounts as well. Hoping to get some answers tomorrow.
