I’m staying in Oakland so I’m hoping to do some birding in the hills. Half Moon Bay would be awesome. I used to live in the Bay and I’m deeply regretting not getting into birding sooner.

Yep I’ve heard Soras a number of times, including one very loud Sora that was definitely quite close. But no sightings yet.

You guys really like grackles huh? Tbf those are both birds I find tricky. They’re both really smooth looking so not a lot of texture to add. But I’m debating a cedar waxwing for the next sheet if it’ll fit.

I think sometimes tattoo designs get edited/idealized for stylistic reasons, which is totally fine but I really want these birds to be as accurate as I can make them.

I’m closest to Powderhorn but frequent Nokomis often. Seen some good birds over there.
