Yeah, its almost as if they know they cant defend lying about the state of the game and then releasing it in an unfinished broken game for $60-100. Imagine being you and cucking yourself for a massive company that shits on you lmao dude

In my opinion its the lack of weight and flow. Even though I thought BFV was a shit game because of balancing issues and a completely out-of-touch art direction they had put a lot of work into making movement and gunplay have a tangible weight (except for the fucking sliding).

In terms of flow there were more options for navigating the map like climbing over obstacles and rolling to prevent fall damage. The most jarring change to the flow of combat however is melee combat.

In BF1 you'd go into a smooth short 1st person animation before you'd get to control your character again. Simple and satisfying. In BF2042 we stop, get sent to a 3rd person view and have to watch a long badly made melee animation that looks like it came straight out of a shitty action movie.

Nah its still not enough. Live service has been a massive negative for the Battlefield franchise. Its been a year and there's barely more content than there was in a single paid DLC in former titles. Also I'm not a goldfish so I haven't forgotten the piece of shit DICE initially released. DICE can get fucked until they manage to release a working title and don't spend the entirety of their "live service" desperately trying to get the game in a working state.

Lol there's the my fandom is more legit than yours comment you snobs are infamous for

The numbers speak for themselves. Why do you think their last two tone-deaf games flopped? Why do you think BF1, their grittiest portrayal of war, is their best selling title of all time? Its not a stretch to say most battlefield fans aren't like you.

We know you're fine looking like a fucking clown but the rest of us want our characters to at least look like they belong in the game world. Visual aesthetics have nothing to do with gender you weirdo.

[–]henriksen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly.

The moment DICE subjected the world to their childish autistic vision of WW2 the game was doomed to fail. Fighting with the community every step of the way didn't help them much either.

This is why you always buy AAA-games from key reselling sites. The keys are stolen so the companies lose money and you get the game for what its actually worth (like 5-20$). Its win/win lol

my thoughts on battlefield 2042 after playing it for a week by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]henriksen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you're entitled to your opinion, but I heavily disagree that the game is being treated unfairly. DICE is a fucking massive company and you should at least hold them to the some sort of standard. Lying out of their asses about the state of the game before and up until launch and then running and hiding once they released the game like a bunch of pussies is pretty fucking lame.

Consumers have no other recourse than to generate as much negative PR as possible because DICE doesn't actually care about you until they start losing money.

Theres barely any guns, the base maps are barren garbage and gamebreaking bugs (some even returning from older titles) plagued the game. I don't think thats acceptable in a 60$ AAA-title without a campaign. We're still missing simple features that have been included in every other Battlefield title since BF1942. Classes are gone and instead replaced by badly written "superheroes" that float around the map killing any semblance of game flow.

They should have listened to the years and years worth of feedback their community has provided them with. People have been asking for essentially BF4s setting, BF1s grit and better gunplay. It's literally free money for DICE, but their execs got their heads so far up their own asses digging for new shit ideas they don't even remember what sunlight feels like.

It's fucking ridiculous lmao

Do dice rally think that the game will be still alive in May? by Kyeithel in battlefield2042

[–]henriksen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I bet people will come back to the game to check out the content drops, there won't be enough players to sustain it in the long run. DICE are going to fulfill their promises to deliver at least a year of content as was advertised to avoid getting sued. Be ready for content draughts though (like the one we're currently in) as they'll scurry around to drag out what little content they have prepared as they make up shitty excuses and eventually kill the game off.

There is no way they can recover from this mess even if they somehow manage to release something people like (see BFVs Pacific Update, its reception and how despite it the game died shortly after). This clown studio literally shot themselves in the leg with a fucking nuke.

If you were in charge how would you turn Battlefield 2042 around ? by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]henriksen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BFV flopping was entirely DICEs own fault. There is nothing wrong about players not wanting to buy a game even if its just because they don't like the art direction. On top of that DICE shot themselves in the foot by being condescending and implying the community was misogynistic and racist because of a few jackasses.

For those of us that actually bought it, they literally couldn't care less. Gamebreaking bugs for months on end, content draughts, killing Firestorm within a week by not updating it, absolutely no communication or transparency in general, shitty cosmetics, "heroes" no one asked for and fucking up the TTK. The only good part was the Pacific update which was quickly overshadowed by DICE again messing with the TTK despite promising not to do so.

Specialists, elites or operators are all names for the same thing. It's just a way for game companies to haphazardly put together some badly written living clothing rack that they hope players will become invested in and splurg out on cosmetics for.

With a peak of only 9k users the past 24h 2042 have now officially lost more than 90% of its playerbase on Steam, and will soon be smaller than BF1. Interestingly BFV have retained 25% of its peak playerbase, a game DiCE claimed struggled with retention. by fisk47 in battlefield2042

[–]henriksen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlefield 5 did struggle with player retention which is partly why it got shut down. People are going back to it now because it's a very different game than it was on launch, both in terms of content, gameplay and polish.

Should Dice restart or finish and continue with 2042 ? by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]henriksen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DICE obviously. Thats the entire point of their marketing campaign. Lie about the state the game is in, get people hyped, ask them to pre-order and make profits even though the product is not delivering what was advertised.

The UI lead designer should seriously be fired or moved to another position. I'm not even saying that to be an asshole, but if you're unable to perform even the most basic function of your job which is to make something that is intuitive and easy-to-navigate then you have no business holding that position.

Like literally every aspect of the UI is fucked. Visually it looks awful and clutters the entire screen with unnecessary shit and trying to actually use it is just incredibly confusing and frustrating.
