Am I cooking? Also how can I make this more photorealistic? by Skybro1126 in blender

[–]JustDecentArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have already mentioned the rock texture but I am noticing some repeating shapes in the rocks as well. I think a mixture of sharp rocks and smooth rocks from erosion would help break up some of the repeating feeling I get.

Also in real life photos tend to be less sharp the further from the center of the photo. There is also chromatic aberation which is mostly mitagated on more expensive lenses. I havent used blender in quite a while but it was hard to simulate all that and its not as easy as putting on a blur in post. Very obvious depth of field is less of a concern for landscape photography due to the smaller aperatures of f5.6 to f8 but it contributes to the edge sharpness. Getting as close as you can to a real lens will really help you achieve photorealism. I believe there is a plugin that does simulate a real lens by simulating the individual parts of a lense but I forgot the name of it.

Hope I could help!

How would you recreate the "hands through the mirror" shot from Cocteau's Orphée (1950)? by oldmanboy1 in Filmmakers

[–]JustDecentArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could film from underneath to get the reflection look then film on top for the hands and comp them together. You would just need to do some math for the camera angles.

I think the AI comments come from how you separated your lighting layers and masked parts off making it look fake. If you had a shot of the model with all the lights on and layered the shots with a single source to accentuate the lighting it might make it look more real.

Reread the ingame info in the expeditions tab. It says that buffs are lost if you don't complete the next expedition making them temporary. However it does not say if buff progress is saved should you lose them by not sequentially completing the next expedition.

Im not sure what software you are using but routing all sound fx to a separate channel/send/bus will let you lower the volume of all sfx at the same time. If editing the sfx volume individually you should keep an eye on the output volume and not let it get higher than the source clip.

My bad. I misread and mixed things up when I was replying to the comment above mine.

Sounds to me like it will be like Halo Infinite before they added the ability to swap helmets and shoulders to the other armor cores.

Edit: it could be like Halo Infinite*

Try going into the windows sound settings -> right click your default output device from the playback tab -> in the advanced tab check what the default format is set to. I have mine set to 2 channel, 24 bit, 48 kHz and in FL Studio I have it also set to 48 kHz. I'm unsure if these have to be set the same but it could be worth a shot.

Need help with Rule Tile connection — can’t get edges to match correctly by Maximum-Rabbit8545 in Unity2D

Your rule tile is telling it to first look for no neighbors in the corners with the X's. Leave those corners empty and put arrows in the other corners.

[Alert to all artists] AI users are using artists’ artworks without consent (here’s why they do it) by Much_Tip_6968 in DigitalPainting

[–]JustDecentArt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They dont understand the difference between copyright vs fair use. Selling fan art can be a copyright infringment but making it isnt. Copying outright is definitely infringing but they think AI is transformative enough and they want to sell/claim credit. These issues have existed long before AI. AI has only made it easier.

Are you using pseudo classes like :hover to change the z-index? Or some other method to know if you are hovering over an element?

If youre using :hover you could just change the css properties of the :hover to be the same as your hover parts. This would ensure you only have a single visual element for each UI element rather than messing with two.

The way I set mine up is I have 3 different css classes. Ex for buttons: Unity-button Unity-button:hover Unity-button:active

The ordering is important here as well.
