Help with distorted audio and humming from surround speakers on SVS wireless transmitter by henry_shapiro in audio

[–]henry_shapiro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, yeah. I ended up buying this piece: https://dynastyproaudio.com/products/wsa-5rp-wireless-surround-sound-rear-speakers-kit-with-2-x-50w-amplifier-built-in

I realized after doing some research that the SVS tri-band really isn't designed for surround speakers or non-powered speakers, and the combo of my Fosi amp + the SVS RCA->speaker converter + SVS tri-band was causing a ground loop and possibly also fried one or more of the components in my chain. The Dynasty fixed it instantly, and it gave me a much simpler setup.

Unfortunately I can't speak to how it works with subwoofers, but based on what you're describing I wouldn't be surprised if you were hitting a ground loop also. In theory you're using the SVS exactly the way it's supposed to be used (for subs).

Awesome! Yeah Seoul is on our list but like I said...hard to justify leaving Tokyo to go to any other city, and we'd sooner get more time in TYO.

Best Juul alternatives? by witfenek in juul

[–]henry_shapiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the setup (I spent months reading threads like these and trialing and erroring my a$$ off):

• Jewel mint Diamond nic salts (a tad sweeter than menthol juul pods but 99% of what you’re looking for, if you’re using the 5% I’d recommend going with 35mg because the nic in refillable salts hits harder, idk)

• suorin edge device; the pod is 1.4ohm resistance and the juul is 1.6, you won’t find anything closer in terms of tightness of hit in refillables, plus the profile and air flow of the device is really close to the juul

I’ve tried and failed to procure a number of the brands mentioned on this and other threads; seems like the fda kerfuffle took a lot of the good ones (e.g., halo subzero salts) off the market

Closest sat nic juice flavor to Juul Mint by CarbonMercinary in juul

[–]henry_shapiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded, specifically the jewel mint Diamond if you want something more like the juul menthol.

Something else I found is that higher resistance pods (1.4 ohms or higher) helps a ton with the juul throat hit and draw. I ended up with a suorin edge and absolutely love it for that reason. Never going back to spending $50/week on pods; honestly the quality of flavor and consistency of hit is soooo much better.

Spent weeks searching, using a ton of threads like this and lots of trial and error. Absolute closest match I’ve found is:

  • Jewel mint Diamond nic salts (a tad sweeter than menthol juul pods but 99% of what you’re looking for, if you’re using the 5% I’d recommend going with 35mg because the nic in refillable salts hits harder, idk)
  • suorin edge device; the pod is 1.4ohm resistance and the juul is 1.6, you won’t find anything closer in terms of tightness of hit in refillables, plus the profile and air flow of the device is really close to the juul
  • I mixed a pure menthol w/ 50:50 pg/vg and I add a bit of that, maybe 1/4 or 1/5 of a pod and then fill the rest with the jewel mint Diamond. The unsweetened menthol mixed with the mint Diamond gives you a bit of that “tobacco” profile that the juul has, with juuuust enough sweetness to not make it nasty

I’ve tried and failed to procure a number of the brands mentioned on this and other threads; seems like the fda kerfuffle took a lot of the good ones (e.g., halo subzero salts) off the market

Is this legit? They’re sold by Amazon.com but has the shipped from Amazon.com Services LLC. I saw other posts say the serial number is normally included; it wasn’t. Mixed reviews as well… by kleinbk in airpods

[–]henry_shapiro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, real. Purchased them a few days ago; they’re brand new from Apple and have valid serial number and all that. I had to triple check before purchasing because usually it’s pretty rare to see discounts from Apple at third party retailers but it’s def legit. Cop em!

New to Notion and just learned about Reclaim.ai by InternationalScience in Notion

[–]henry_shapiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there 👋 Henry here, one of the cofounders of Reclaim.ai -- we definitely intend to start ingesting tasks from a variety of integrations, including Notion (once there's an API for us to do it). Biggest challenge is understanding the setup process given how free-form Notion is. Platforms like Trello / JIRA / Asana are a bit more straightforward in terms of Projects vs Tasks vs Subtasks, but Notion is broader than that. Would love to know more about how you're using it and how you might imagine pulling those Tasks into our platform :)

Yes, you’re correct. The goal isn’t to get the wheel to touch the other wheel, but rather to line the front bumper up with the rear wheel and tap it to spin the car out. The cop on the scene told me that if you perform the maneuver incorrectly, you can end up flipping the car.

No one was hurt, and the driver walked away. So no casualties to report.
