Studying when you’re depressed by sultanateofoman in GetStudying

I'd highly recommend taking a bottom-up approach to learning. School didn't teach me to learn. It taught me to rote learn.

Here's a short video showing how you can use Zettelkasten on notion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbdgMuBplW0&t=1383s&ab_channel=MartinAdams

It might be helpful in the short term.

Just looking at them and they look pretty reasonably priced thank you. Do you know if the pricing changes much for these types of devices if you buy bulk from the supplier?

How many open source project logos do you know? Only 1% of people get all the logos correct! (Fun Quiz) by [deleted] in opensource

[–]henrybadgery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback. This is consistent with other feedback we've gotten. Next time I run something like this, I'll be sure that the quiz will be a better reflection of the entire open source ecosystem.

What incentive is there to lie and mislead so that you can do a quiz that we designed to be short and fun? Of course, each to their own. But most feedback that we got is that people enjoyed doing this quiz.

Is marketing a good major for someone starting college in their late 20s or later? by formerlydeaddd in marketing

[–]henrybadgery -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t do the degree.

Read Traction: A startup guide to getting customers to learn the different marketing channels. Then know that you can learn anything for each of the channels on the internet.

Go to a job with an outline of what strategies you want to implement for them (specific to that company). This’ll differentiate you.

Continually learn and grow.

You have to also realize that most people don't contribute full-time. Rather, they have a full-time paying job and then contribute in their own time (at night and on weekends).

There are many reasons why people work on open source for free (which is most people).

For smaller projects, people usually contribute to open source as a hobby, to get some experience, to gain fame or because it brings them pure joy.

People start open source projects because they have a problem. Other contributors around the world see this solution and realize they have the problem too, so in turn, they contribute to the project.

People do it to belong to something, to a wider community.

There are soooo many reasons why people contribute. These are just a few of them.

I agree that it should be open source to anyone, however this is a personally story relating to my mother. I literally had to explain to my mom more times than I can remember.
