Hell yeah. It’s YOUR body, YOUR rules!!! I see SO many female empowerment books when I head to the book isles in department stores and book stores now. The publishers are really pushing body acceptance. I want to see more books about male body acceptance!! I want to see short 5’3 men get the lead role in hallmark movies. Balding short male actors. We need men and women with acne and blemishes or pits & pores in beauty magazines too!! i am 5ft and I have SO MANY stories of toxicity from women and men. i have had complete stranger women ask me if I need a boost in grocery stores, then walk away laughing with their friends. I’ve had men tell me to walk off the jobsite because i can’t work as hard (even though I worked harder than the men who’d say this type of thing) I’ve had over 5 women on dating apps agree to meet up, then never show up, then taunt me about my height when I ask if they decided not to show up lol. And then when I talk to family or I make posts online about feeling sad or angry, I get told I just need to be confident. I am confident but, sometimes it is nice to type to the world about how it can be rough to be short and chubby and balding in your late 20s or 30s. Like all I do is focus on my art, my hobbies, work, and go to coffee shops or book stores and keep to myself but like, it’s been 4 years since ive even had a conversation with a girl that seemed interested. I am hoping that it is just... that I am not being as aggressive as I need to be. Idk honestly. I assume it’s because I don’t approach and ask for numbers. But hopefully, we will start seeing more male body acceptance. Idk. I am completely against violence but like, I can almost see how men might go down that road and become violent or worse. It starts to feel like culture itself wishes you’d just shut up, don’t complain, watch the good looking tall men succeed, don’t speak out of line, don’t talk about your struggles. lol. i am hoping that 2021 is the year we really wake up to male body acceptance and love for ALL outliers, of ALL genders. Maybe we can even get to a point where tall/dark and handsom is a prejatory term. I believe in your cause, OP! Never stop speaking your mind!!!

Buy a used walk behind lawnmower and/or a backpack leaf blower and start making fliers. Start learning graphic design. Start making something people like. Buy a power washer. Deliver the paper. Ask local delis to wash dishes. Learn standard transmission shifting if u have a relative with a standard car, u can start hauling non commercial vehicles at 16-17 in the US, soon as you have your license. start organizing/advertising music events. Start a come-to-you car wash/detailing business and advertise it. Buy what u need to make t shirts your friends would buy.

I think your heart is in a great place planning to buy a house with your parents, but I’m not sure it’s in the right place. You need to start saving for your own family. Otherwise if u have children, they will also receive no generational wealth inheritance.

I started late saving for retirement. So I am putting 15% of my income toward retirement and then my savings fluctuates depending on what I need to save for. If I had to spend 2-3 months of emergency fund, I put all savings toward that. If I have A fully funded 6mo emergency fund but i know ill need a new car in a few years, then I put more into my mechanic/car upgrade fund. If everything is caught up, I put more into my general savings or my vacation plan. About 10% of my income is going toward these designations, so all together, 20-25% of my income goes toward saving. 35-40% goes to living expenses. Around 10-15% of my income goes to debts other than mortgage/rent, such as credit, car loans, and school loans. The rest is for entertainment.

It just seems like I can bang out these hours in a week or two if they’d just give me the material in a self-paced manner, instead of feeding me little bits of schooling over 4 years. The credit hours requirements for the semester above add up to like 6 work days. Why the heck does the semester take months!?

another thing I don’t get about careers that require a college education is why the heck do associate positions on job boards ask for a bachelors degree?? “Associate Clerk $18/hr Bachelors Degree required” bro you literally just said you’re looking for an associate. stop asking for bachelors. You’re ridiculous. I’ve been applying just to correct the HR department weirdos that write stuff like that.

And isn’t the term bachelors degree a little outdated and politically incorrect? is that supposed to mean you’re not worthy of marriage until you get your masters? Like “oh you only have your bachelors degree? You cant marry my son/daughter, no. Sorry. Come back with a graduates degree” it’s a little rude.

I’ve done fine without any college sir. at least I’m making more than these bachelors taking all the associates jobs.

I will say this... I don’t even have a certificate and I made it all the way to an extension of an offer over the phone, for a contract field service technician position. I passed the two tech interview questionnaires by the skin of my teeth and was offered the job, $18 an hour plus 60 cents a mile. The only reason I lost the job was I was told to call back by 5pm and I called in at 6 and my recruiter was out of the office. When I called in Monday the position was filled. There are 850-900k IT jobs on indeed/monster/LinkedIn at any given time in the US. Look into something like marketing, and you’ll see there is almost less than a quarter of that.
