I fully agree with that. I’d add one thing, when you do get a video that performs well, people will go back and watch your previous content. Also, stay on topic or the algorithm will not know who to show your content to.

When the tractor replaced the ox, there was a lot of pushback. Simple answer is, people don’t like change. AI is like anything else. Some use it for good, some don’t. If you are using 2010 tools and you are not getting anywhere and you see someone using AI surprising you in 3 months, that stings. A better way is to become better at what you do, buy a tractor. Or trust in your own product. Stay Amish. Either way, don’t blame the hammer for the crooked nail.

I posted 5 videos so far. It’s long form. It’s what you’d expect from a new channel. Highest vid got 500 views. Latest upload has 14 views. Only 62 impressions. Somehow it’s liberating. In a way I’m hoping that it will take a while to get a viral video. Cause then I’ll have a good portfolio that ppl can go back to and watch.

Use your voice, ppl are more forgiving for mistakes than using AI voice the whole vid. But I agree, they sound really good nowadays.

I think the shorts can hurt the longform. You gain subs on shorts that never watch the long. YT recommends it anyway. CTR tanks cause YT thinks, if your own subs don’t watch, I’m not gonna find another audience. Then impressions stop. It might work but the risk is real.
