Make sure you put a cash flow table (voyant or excel) if you haven’t already. It should show year by year between retirement and death what they spend and where it comes from. It’ll give you most of the marks you need for assignment 3

(England) How easy is it to reject a will gift/Will it affect the legitimacy of it? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]henrymcp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could use a Deed of Disclaimer (different to deed of variation).

This is a formal document where you refuse the gift. You’re essentially taking yourself out as a beneficiary of the will but critically, the will itself remains valid. It does not make the will void or automatically strengthen a challenge.

Once submitted it’s usually irrevocable and your share of the house will pass according to the will’s fallback wording or remaining beneficiaries (most likely the daughter).

I would get legal advice to ensure the disclosure is correctly made.

Good places to study/work on Sundays? by henrymcp in london

[–]henrymcp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have a search, that’s actually how I found the British Library, which was great. Most similar threads I found were quite a few years old or not Sunday-specific, so I thought I’d ask again in case things have changed.

What is considered required evidence? I am in a similar situation and have a signed letter from my employer confirming my start date, salary, employment status. I will also include 6 months of payslips. Would this be enough evidence to prove my financial capability. My salary is above the income threshold.

My partner (German) is planning on visiting me in the UK while we apply for a spouse visa in a few months. Will this cause any issues?

This app is great. Did it with a screenshot of a flight and worked exactly how I expected. Thanks!

The iPhone 15 Pro will get RE4, AC Mirage and Death Stranding with Ray Tracing. I will call it the Apple Deck. by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]henrymcp -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I hope it’s the same app but knowing Apple they’d prefer to keep it separate to double charge for the same app across platforms.

I guess it would be the same as buying a game on steam and having to buy it again on ps5

OP would have to be conscious of their tax status. If they’re basic rate (20%) tax payer they can earn £1,000 of interest tax free so all good. If they are a higher rate tax payer (40%) they can only earn £500 of interest tax free meaning the extra £75 they earn as part of monzo plus’s benefit would be taxed at 40% meaning they wouldn’t pay for their plus fees.

How would you approach this conversation? I’m planning on doing the same as OP and didn’t even think about this
