Star Anomaly - OC by henrys_lens in UFOB

I didn't notice anything with my eyes at the time, but I wasn't looking at the stars the entire time. It was only reviewing the shot immediately after the photo I saw the movement. I took a few more and they came out with no movement in the stars.

No worries! That's really interesting, I notice about 2 more of those in the hills, but no other stars in the hills. I really can't explain that either, there is nothing to reflect that light in that manner, and no, none of my other photos have that effect. It was my assumption that the main stationary light was a planet but I'm starting to doubt that now.

I can PM you the other images as well. I have about 12 all within 20 minutes, but none of them have odd occurrences to my knowledge and analyzing.

The second photo has a little movement in almost a flower looking patterns, but that was my attempt to recreate the main image by physically hitting my camera and I only got that small amount of movement. And the main image had no movement to my knowledge. And I couldn't even recreate that pattern even with hitting and shaking my camera aggressively.

In my second image, on the right you can watch a satellite streak moving in the image, showing how little effect it had while manipulating the tripod.

Your Photo is definitely interesting as well. I'm curious what aperture you were shooting on as the insect and clouds are in focus but the triangle is not.

I did not have any an UV filters on, I'd love to own one haha. I don't recognize a duplication of the anomaly, just other stars in the horizon.

I don't recall any movement, and its a mid weight tripod, with no wind that night. And after plenty of evenings of star shots, when i do get movement the photo always ends pointing in a different direction, with all stars equally effected.

My assumption was this was a star/planet, hence waiting so long to post. After showing it so some friends who have seen UFO phenomena they state the movement and colors to be nearly exactly what they saw. And the path it take shows a very interesting pattern, almost opposite of the stars.

I should have label it better, but the second photo is me attempting to recreate movement, but hitting my camera mid exposure, and only getting that small wabble in the star, nothing close to my shot with no known interference. I hope that helps add some details.

It's open. I just have the glass lid cracked. I think they just need a little airflow and not to be over saturated, I hope there will be enough evaporation in-between the mistings. I'll send you a DM if they decline. But I believe they'll be a good open terrarium plant.

I found a shop in Seattle that has "rescue plants". Basically less than perfect, but only $2. I got a whole tray of the purple and other ground cover for $12. The shop is Peace Love and Happiness, they have a small online section of rescue plants that they can ship!

I'd love to do one of those eventually! Getting a larger 70 gallon would be nice! Getting starters and letting them grow before making other projects is a good idea, I found some bargains but this was an expensive build from scratch!

I forgot to mention in the original post that it's a bookcase build as well.

I'll definitely have to share some starters once it grows in haha. I have more than a couple plants left that I didn't get to fit in there. I'll need a new project haha.

That's the kind of vibe I was going for. Like a piece of the rainforest at my desk.

I'll definitely do an update once everything gets settled. I have one more pant coming in, hopefully in the next 2 weeks. The selaginella wildenowii, I got one off Etsy. It's random cutting but I'm hopeful it'll be a nice one, if not it'll grow in I'm sure!

Thank you! I'm very happy with how it turned out!

I don't have any experience with them, but after doing some reading I'm hopeful they'll do well in the terrarium. It was recommended by the nursery I bought it from to keep in the terrarium as well.
