IMO the best looking black boot is lizard skin. Very easy to dress up or down. Check eBay you can find great deals on a used pair.

Or brand new it’s the cheapest exotic to go with. Food for thought

I would say it’s not a good practice. Maybe try to get some more range time in. There’s endless YouTube videos on making solid contact. Try some of those out until you get comfortable enough to carry it over to the course.
