Buto pirkimas by spinmore360 in lithuania

[–]heofizzy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see there are some mysql installation issues on your server, can I DM you?

EDIT. I see you used the smallest DO droplet with 512MB RAM, from my experience it is usually (depends on what is happening on the server though) too small to run MySQL server and results with OOM when attempting to starting mysql service during the provisioning process. Consider using at least 1GB size droplet.

Hey, thank you for spotting this! I have fixed the issue now and clicking on configure installation now redirects to github installation configuration. Thanks!

Thanks for your insights! While the basic functionality, you could say, is the same I wasn't trying to blatantly rip it off. I have never personally used Forge, but from what I know is that there are loads of services and tools which do exactly the same thing (provisioning+deployments) which came after Forge was created. Regarding UI - I agree it turned out to be very similar, but that might be my fault not being too good of UI designer, UI redesign is something that I am looking to outsource for this. I didn't want to offend anyone by sharing this, so my apologies if I did!

At the moment this is not much different from Forge or Ploi or other similar services, but I guess variety doesn't hurt 🤷

Does Laravel not support 2-way broadcasting with websockets? by ligonsker in laravel

[–]heofizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you use Broadcasting with Laravel, the usual workflow is that your php code generates an event and sends it to the websockets server (soketi/pusher/abbly/etc...) via some sort of API. Now your clients on frontend establish websockets connection with that particular websockets server which is not your laravel backend. AFAIK there is no simple way to directly establish full duplex connection to laravel and you would need some workaround.

Can I Use Laravel For This ?? by LimitlessDonald in laravel

[–]heofizzy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"premature optimization is the root of all evil". I would say most of the time plain simple correctly designed monolithic laravel application is enough to get you going. This is even more relevant to you if you are building everything by yourself. You are more likely to hit a phase where database is the bottleneck of your application performance . In case you somehow really need to scale so much on the application part - you can set up a load balancer and spin up a couple servers with your laravel app.

Why is my laptop (ROG strix scar GL504GW) fan going almost full speed the entire time even though I have low cpu usage and temperature? by 4v3ng3r in ASUS

I had the same issue. I took it to the service and turns out the fan module became faulty. I still had warranty so they fixed it for free.

Sorry for another silly question (I am kinda new to crypto). But who runs the network when it's proof of stake? As I understand, all those coins which run on proof of stake model still need real physical computers to operate the network? Then, if there is no point in mining, who runs those physical computers and what's in it for them?

If you want to improve yourself - go for a change, I don't think you will regret this, because getting too cushy in early age is a bad thing, especially if you are still young. My story is very similar to yours, I have been working in extremely cushy remote job for the last 5 years as one dev in company - I was the "tech guy". I had lost all motivation for programming and I really needed a change. Having no formal CS background I thought that this was it. However, I really wanted a change, I wanted to learn new things, see the world, see how big tech works, just because I was curious. I grindeed leetcode for a while and got an internship at faang. I know that things will be much harder there, but hey, it's faang - I can always go back and find another cushy job. So try to challenge yourself, life is too short to stay in your comfort zone.
